This document discusses various web 2.0 tools including blogs, collaboration tools, and social media platforms. ZDNet: While they focus heavily on the usual suspects
(Apple, Microsoft, Google), ZDNet also features product
reviews, software downloads and tons of news and
analysis on tech businesses and issues.

GigaOM: It is the leading global voice on
emerging technologies. Their news, research
and events humanize technology and provide
deep insight on disruptive companies, people
and trends.

Gizmodo: Gizmodo’s been a must-follow site for
a long time, with tons of relevant posts, a
youthful vibe, and some of the funnier
commenters on the Internet.

Evergreen Small Business: Evergreen Small Business’
blog content is especially related to the technical aspects
of how your business handles its money and assets. But
this site is more than just finance, branching out to include
common small business topics such as problem solving as
well.

 Location 180: Location 180 is all about how to build
a business that can be run remotely and from any
location. Besides, the posts are well-written, academic,
interesting, and helpful.

knowledge necessary for entrepreneurs and business
owners to make their entrepreneurial dreams a reality. One
of their specialties is improving profitability of under-
performing businesses with a unique “bottom-line”
approach.

BuzzFeed is the social news and entertainment company.
BuzzFeed is redefining online advertising with its social,
content-driven publishing technology.

Reddit: It is an entertainment, social networking, and news
website where registered community members can submit
content, such as text posts or direct links. Content entries
are organized by areas of interest called "subreddits."

The Huffington Post is an American online news
aggregator and blog that offers news, blogs, and original
content and covers politics, business, entertainment,
environment, technology, popular media, lifestyle, culture,
comedy, healthy living, women's interests, and local news.

11. Web-Based Collaboration Tools
 I selected Google Docs between the web-based
collaboration tool which is a free Web-based application
in which documents and spreadsheets can be created,
edited and stored online.
 Among the many features that this tool offers, there is
one of upmost importance for business in the real world,
specially finance, which is Google Spreadsheets.

12. Web-Based Collaboration Tools
With this tool you can create spreadsheets in your browser
without requiring dedicated software. You can use
graphics, filters and pivot tables to any type of content,
from simple lists to data analysis. Some of the benefits I
could notice are:
• It works with all common file types such as Microsoft
ExcelYou can create, edit and share spreadsheets from
your phone or tablet, wherever you are.
• You can work on spreadsheets even
without connection.

13. Web-Based Collaboration Tools
• You can grant permissions to individuals or groups to
edit, view or add comments to spreadsheets.
• It allows to work simultaneously and even to visualize
changes while others are writing.
• You can create and insert a survey on some website or
send a questionnaire to other people at work. Results
are imported directly from Google Spreadsheets for
review and analysis

14. LinkedIn
 LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network with
hundreds of millions of members, and growing rapidly.
 Their mission is to connect the world's professionals to
make them more productive and successful.

After I created my account and went through all the
features that this tool provides (Recommendations,
following, Groups, Companies, Jobs, etc.), I could identify
some advantages:
 Build and maintain your professional
network.
 Find and reconnect with colleagues
and classmates.
 Learn about other companies, and
get industry insights.
 Find other professionals in the same
industry using groups.

16. LinkedIn
 Tap into the knowledge of your network.
 Discover new career opportunities.
 Read job searching tips.

17. Personal Blog
 For creating a blog, I used a page called
WordPress.com. WordPress is an online, open source
website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek
speaking, it's probably the easiest and most powerful
blogging and website content management system (or
CMS) in existence today.

 My blog is named emirochnowwordpresscom. I wrote
my personal post called Tools of Web 2.0.
