 The blog is very useful because it uses clear language as
a way to inform the readers about technological
novelties, while merging current subjects of common
interest also.
 The graphics and design of the blog are attractive to the
readers; also the different subjects and articles are
organized in a simple but efficient manner.

4. ZDNet (http://www.zdnet.com)
 ZDNet is a business technology news website published by CBS
Interactive, along with TechRepublic and SmartPlanet. The brand was
founded on April 1, 1991.
 The blog is really useful since whatever the reader’s role in the IT buying
cycle is, ZDNet provides support, as investigating options and optimizing a
solution.
 ZDNet is a great option for professionals seeking to research technology-
related issues, and solve business technology problems.

 Gigaom is a blog-related media company started by Om Malik in
San Francisco, California.
 The blog has a simple layout that makes it easier for readers to
understand and find the sought information.
 It provides analyses of changes in the tech world in a clear and
efficient manner.

 Business Insider is a celebrity and technology news website launched
in February 2009, based in New York City.
 The blog has great technology, the editors are constantly
experimenting with headlines and images, trying to see what will get a
reader’s attention.
 I believe that they know they need to appeal to commercial and
reader interests that they often hold in some degree of contempt.

 The Economix blog belongs to the New York Times. This site features a stable of
resident economists who help readers navigate debates related to their areas of
expertise.
 The blog serves an informative purpose, but the information is made clear by the
writers.
 The blog’s layout is very simple, but easy to follow and understand.

 Planet Money includes a twice-weekly podcast and creates radio stories for
Morning Edition, All Things Considered and This American Life.
 I like this blog because the writers take all the hard-to-understand economic
language and turn it into clear and simple language. The layout is simple, but
some bits of humor is added.

 BuzzFeed is an American internet media company.
 It describes itself as the "social news and entertainment company ... redefining
online advertising with its social, content-driven publishing technology ... provides
the most shareable breaking news, original reporting, entertainment and video."
 It incorporates information with humor, and it really keeps the reader interested.
 All the articles are of common interest and they promote the readers’
involvement.

 The Huffington Post is an American online news aggregator and blog.
 The site offers news, blogs, and original content and covers politics, business,
entertainment, and popular media.
 I believe it has managed to create loyal readers by posting articles that do not
only inform, but also entertain.
 The layout is not complex, it is simple but professional.

 The Wired website is an online technology news website that split off from Wired
magazine.
 Wired.com hosts several blogs on topics in news, entertainment, popular media, and
common interests.
 The blog has a very modern look but it is easy to use and understand.
 The articles are written by a diverse group of writers, which cover almost every type of
interest.

Google Docs is a free app that lets you create different kinds of
online documents, work on them in real time with other people, and store
them in your Google Drive online.
I find Google Docs very useful because it allows the user to do a great
number of things in relation to the document, as:
 Upload a Word document and convert it to a Google document
 Format your documents by adjusting margins, spacing, fonts, and colors.
 Invite other people to collaborate on a document with you, giving them edit,
comment or view access
 Collaborate online in real time and chat with other collaborators
 View your document's revision history and roll back to any previous version
 Download a Google document to your desktop as a Word, OpenOffice, RTF,
PDF, HTML or zip file
 Easily mail your documents to other people as attachments

19. LinkedIn is becoming ever more important as a professional
networking and job search tool. Recruiters and hiring managers
increasingly rely on the site to scout for talent.
After creating my profile and working around with LinkedIn, I’ve
come to the conclusion that it is a powerful tool and must be taken
seriously.
There are features as “Recommendations”, “Following”,
“Groups” and “Companies” that may seem insignificant but are
actually of great importance. Some advantages that I consider are
very useful:
 Recruiters and hiring managers may read recommendations and take them into
account
 By being part of a network, you may get in touch with another professionals in the
same field.
 Job opportunities may arise based on your stated experiences.
 It’s a quick and easy way to promote yourself and become well known.
