This document describes a minor project using bio-inspired algorithms based on machine learning for medical image analysis. The project aims to select relevant features from medical images using a hybrid of the Whale Optimization Algorithm and Dragonfly Algorithm. Key steps include extracting features from scanned datasets, selecting relevant features, implementing hybrid WOA-SVM and DA-SVM approaches to optimize classifier parameters and obtain optimal classification accuracy. The approaches will be tested on 4 medical image classification cases and accuracy will be measured. Literature on the WOA, DA, and related work is also reviewed.
