 What Happens?: In the narrative, The pilots loose control of the plane and the band
members are depended upon to learn to fly the plane and land the plane safely.
 Liked the video, Out of 10? 8 out of 10, enjoyable, amusing with a comical narrative to
justify the song title.

 Type: Concept/ lip syncing throughout all video however elements of performance.
 Genre: Acoustic folk/Soft Rock
 What Happens?: protagonist (Jack Johnson) has had his romantic advances
spurned. He is disillusioned and disheartened throughout the song. The lyrics
throughout the song really drive forward the narrative Jack is trying to show.
 Liked the video, Out of 10? Effective use of special effects and editing, the artist
“Jack Johnson” re-living different aspects of his life backwards.
 Overall Out of 10? Creative editing however limited narrative looses interest from the
audience as the majority of the video is performance based.

 What Happens?:
 Liked the video, Out of 10? Effective editing of superimposing the lyrics upon
different settings throughout the video. Stop Motion was used effectively. Good
variety of shots ranging from close ups to medium shots and master shots.
 Overall Out of 10? 7 Lack of narrative makes it not very engaging for the audience
and loss of interest. However the creative editing of the superimposed lyrics excites
the audience. Furthermore the video has a good variety of different shot and
settings .

 Overall Out of 10? 6 out of 10, Effective use of jump cuts for dramatic effect, interesting
and relevant to the music video captivating the audiences attention and enhances the
narrative. However video is very minimalistic.

 Liked the video, Out of 10? 8 an innovative video with a
unique idea which creates a lot of humour. Quick use of
editing emphasis the narrative that its meant to mimic 70’s
cop show. Good use of props, costumes to reinforce the
narrative and add humour.
 Overall Out of 10? 9, exaggerated acting provides humour
for the audience. It is a unique innovative music video for
it’s time challenges typical conventions of a rock video .
