The music video will depict a couple going through a break up through montage shots of them alone and footage from their last video together. Due to the actors being in different locations, they will communicate through text messages that will appear animated throughout the video. Additional animations will be added in post-production to transition between shots of the couple and scenes from the song. The target audience is 16-23 year olds as the video explores themes of modern break ups through technology.

this into a break up song.
This includes the boy just
wanting to be with his ex-
significant other for the last
time for one more kiss.
The video is going to
include montage shots of
the couple broken up by
themselves trying to get
over the break up. It will
also include footage from
the last video.
Due to having the actors in different
locations, I used their phones as way of
communicating. I will be using after effects
to get the animations of texts ‘pop up’
throughout the video, as the actors will be
receiving texts from each other throughout
the vide.
Due to the song having a heavy
influence on 1950s music genre and
Elvis Presley style, this is a complete
opposite from the theme throughout
the music video. As the video is based
on 21st century love and technology, as
there will be texting throughout the
video and use of phones.
I will also try to incorporate other animations in
after effects to add into the music video so there
will be a better flow with the montage music
instrument shots and the shots of the couple
‘broken-up’. These animations will include split
and slide screen with the different shots.
The target audience for this music video will be a
young audience ranging from 16-23 years old,
as it is going to be covering young themes and
subjects that the young audience would’ve
experienced or are still experiencing. These
experiences are breaks up through texts and
social media.
