Miley Cyrus has undergone a drastic transformation from her early career as a "Disney pop princess" known for innocent love songs, to a more provocative superstar. Her music video for "We Can't Stop" marked a major change as she danced sexually and dressed provocatively, showing her independence as a grown woman. Her video for "23" further cemented this new image as she collaborated with hip hop artists and promoted a hip hop lifestyle through her appearance. While some fans have remained loyal through her transformation, others do not support the change from her earlier innocent persona.

couple of months Miley Cyrus has made a drastic change from a ‘Disney pop
princess’ to a provocative yet inspirational superstar.

Both of these videos were released at the start of Mileys career, just after her
role in ‘Hannah Montana’. These videos show her as innocent as they both
are to do with pure love and not promiscuity.
The music video ‘when I look at you’ follows the story of Miley confessing her
love for her man, the scenery is very pure as it is just her with a piano in
various locations an occasionally the scene of her and the man.

3. ‘We Can't Stop’

• ‘we cant stop’ was released after a 2 year break where Miley was trying to
find where she wanted to go within her music career. When the single
dropped she said “This will redefine everything you think of as Miley
Cyrus”.
• This was correct as it portrayed Miley in a completely light, as she was
dressed very provocatively and was dancing very sexually. This was a
humongous change from the ‘Disney pop princess’ we knew as Miley
Cyrus, to a grown up and independent woman.

4. ’23’

• ‘23’ proved to the audience that this was the new Miley and she was not
going back to her old ways, she cut her hair as she said “the audience
need to see change”.
• This video shows Miley coming into the rap/hip-hop game as it features
Mike Will, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa (all of which are very successful hip-hop
artists), she is also is promoting Jordans which are a brand of shoes made
successful partially through rappers and hip-hop. This show she is
affiliating herself with the hip-hop game.

• Overall Miley’s audience have witnessed the changes throughout her
career as an artist and through her music videos, most of her fans have
stayed loyal however some choose not to follow her as they don’t like the
change she has made from the ‘Disney pop princess’ to the new hip-hop
