An air preheater is a heat exchanger that heats incoming combustion air by transferring heat from the flue gases before they are exhausted to the atmosphere. This improves boiler efficiency. There are two main types: recuperative, which uses stationary heat transfer surfaces, and regenerative, which uses rotating heat transfer surfaces. Proper operation and maintenance is important to minimize issues like air leakage, erosion, corrosion, plugging, and fouling that can reduce the air preheater's effectiveness over time. Regular inspection and cleaning helps maintain high performance.

Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.

54. Stereotyping each other…
“The Flemish are peasants who know some
French but do not want to talk it.
“The Walloons or lazy arrogant ‘bonvivants’. “
I have been teaching English in Brussels for almost 30 years now. Brussels is at the heart of the European Union. Along with the European Council and the Commission, Brussels also hosts the Parliament. The EP's committees meet here and Parliament also holds some of its plenary sessions in Brussels. Spend just half an hour in the EU quarter and soak up the ambience... the suits, black cars, take-away coffee and familiar faces from the TV news. But more about the EU institutions later.
Some 190,000 Europeans have settled in Brussels, though they don’t all work for a European institution. Some EU citizens have nothing to do with the EU sphere. Others work in jobs connected to the European institutions, such as European associations, lobbying offices, NGOs and regional offices. There are no precise figures available, but the total number of people linked to the EU (including family members) is estimated between 100,000 to 120,000. This represents about one in ten of the total Brussels population. http://www.vbbe.be/en/who-are-theyThe four powers: executive, legislative, judicial, media, lobbyists
The capital of Europe, Brussels, is also the bloc's most congested city in terms of traffic jams, a study carried out by a commercial satellite navigation system provider shows.
The city is trying to encourage greater use of bicycles and has expanded its "Villo" bike rental programme to 2,500 bikes that can be rented at 180 points across town.

It is located in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Houses like the town hall (city hall) date from the 14th and 15th century.
in the Middle Ages became one of the largest and richest cities of northern Europe. Houses and cathedrals date from the 14th-15th centuries. Today it is a busy city with a port and a university.
Belgium's history is intertwined with those of its neighbours: the Netherlands, Germany, France and Luxembourg. For most of its history, what is now Belgium was either a part of a larger territory, such as the Carolingian Empire (800c), or divided into a number of smaller states, prominent among them being the Duchy of Brabant, the County of Flanders, the Prince-Bishopric of Liège and Luxembourg. A feature of its history is the number of wars between other European powers on Belgian territory, causing it to be nicknamed the "cockfighting arena of Europe.Belgium's formation into a single independent country has been preceded by centuries of foreign occupation: 1) Burgundian Netherlands (14th-15th century): many separate states in the Netherlands were united, by marriage and conquest2) the Habsburg Empire (15th-16/17th century) the Eighty Years' War from 1568 to 1648 led to the separation of the Northern Protestant Dutch Republic which gained its independence from from the remaining Catholic Spanish Netherlands in the south. (verdrag van Munster)3)the Austrian Netherlands (16th - 17th century)4) French Empire (18th-19th century Napoleon: French became language of upper class, language of education, language of middle class and lower classes5) The Dutch period (1814-1830)6) Belgium the Catholic Belgians revolted and gained independence in the 1830 Belgian Revolution, giving the state its name, a new king (from a royal family in Germany) and approximately its modern borders.
Language border was offcially set in 1960. Its purpose was to simplify the administration. Belgium’s north – south divide is based on historic as well as economic and political grounds.
Belgium's division is as much economic as linguistic. In French-speaking Wallonia the unemployment rate is about twice the level of northern Flanders, where many voters feel they are subsidizing left-wing policies of Belgium's south.
