Abstract
The current study was conducted to delve deeper into the relationship between muscular changes
and subjects reported embodied cognitions. Thus was expected that power poses would have a
significant increase on subject s academic related self esteem. Subjects were 33 undergraduate
students in an undergraduate psychology research methods course (males=9, females=24).
Participants were split into 2 randomized groups, no pose control group vs. power pose group.
The control group was asked to relax as they wished, whereas the power pose group viewed
images of different poses of which to imitate from. Experimental subjects copied 2 different power
poses while holding the pose for 1 minute each. All participants rated questions regarding feeling
frustrated about performance, how likely they are to feel self conscious. Opposite to the current
hypothesis, results showed that power pose condition showed similar amounts of self esteem as the
no pose condition group did. Results indicate more investigation into power poses and their effects.

Candy Diet, a short blog published in 2017. He argues that we have been making society a place

informing men and women with supporting examples, then moves on to a reliable quote that has

Godin first begins his blog by stating examples of how the media has been declining. He states that
it is important to realize that our best selling novels have been replaced by coloring books. Cable
channels like TLC and the History Channel show populist, non educational shows. Not only that,
but even newspapers inform their audience with information they do not care to hear. This has
resulted in the increase of general population not even purchasing newspapers. Seth Godin goes on
to inform the reader that the decline of thoughtful media has been discussed for a century stating
that the decrease is not anything new. The new information is, A fundamental shift not just in the
profit seeking gatekeepers, but in the culture as a whole. This shows the readers that Godin has
done his research. It also shows that he is passionate about the lack of depth and complexity in our
modern communications. The readers start to build trust in what he wrote because of his strong
illustrations about the topic.
To further build his thesis, Godin adds another strong example. He states that the media has an
algorithm. He uses an effective metaphor, we re on the edge of a breakneck race to the bottom,
with no brakes and no break in sight. This explains that we are quickly declining to the bottom.
Although the metaphor is fitting, the sentences building up to it are useless and weak. He could
have either taken them out or made them stronger by making the paragraphs longer. This might
make the reader question if Godin really knows what he is writing about.

Jarrett. Conrad is the son of Calvin and Beth. In the story Conrad was in a boating accident with

molecular weight (MW) of an unknown protein sample by comparing it to Log10 of the migration
of molecular weight of the standards.

The purpose of SDS PAGEis to separate proteins according to their size, and no other physical
feature. SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate) is a detergent (soap) that can dissolve hydrophobic
molecules but also has a negative charge (sulfate) attached to it. Therefore, if a cell is incubated
