Draw a picture (s) of the metaphor (s) 4  Write sentence (s) using the metaphor (s) 5  Create your own metaphor (s) 6  Record your metaphor (s) 7  Draw a picture (s) of your metaphor (s) 8  Place in Literacy Land book under Metaphors 9.  Blog your metaphor (s)  for classmates to read. 10. Create, with a partner, 2-4 metaphors using ‘weather words’ for Power Point Presentation. (list attached) 11. What is a Metaphor? … a metaphor is where we compare 2 things and say they are the same: ‘ Bill  is  a cunning old fox.” Bill  is  cunning + fox  is  cunning = Metaphor. Bill is  not like  a fox. He’s so cunning,he  IS a fox!
Metaphors ‘Mary is a sheep, just following everyone else.’ Mary follows + sheep follow = metaphor Mary is not just like a sheep. She follows others so much , she  IS  a sheep!
Identifying Metaphors He ‘   ’  his stack. blew
The idea was a bolt of lighting for his writing.
