Since the mediator only act as a facilitator, the parties involved should
agree to participate in the process.

In another word, the parties’ involved should work together to reach a
win-win solution. They have to be welling to compromise to reach a
solution.
PARTIES OFFER SOLUTION THEMSELVES
The mediator/facilitator should give the parties involved in the dispute
space to create/suggest their own solutions.
IMPARTIALITY
The mediator should not take sides on the process.
CONFIDENTIAL
In the beginning of the mediation process the mediator should make it
clear for the parties involved that all parties should respect the other’s
privacy and keeping all information confidential.
IF MEDIATION IS UNSUCCESSFUL
If the mediation process failed or if the parties involved failed to
successfully apply the mediation solutions, further formal or legal
procedures will take place.
