1. Blogger- I have used Blogger
throughout the whole process of
creating my magazine, I have
updated it with all of my work
throughout all of the stages of
creating the magazine. I have
used blogger before for other
tasks as well so I am already
familiar with the software.
Photoshop- This is the soft wear that
I used to create and design my
magazine and also the portfolio
before that. I wasn’t use to the
software at the start but as I
progressed throughout the months I
gradually got use to the soft wear
and learnt a lot as I went on.
Photoshop was very hard to
understand and use but if I was to
use it again I would know what to
do with out any help
Word- I have used Microsoft Word
throughout the process of
creating my magazine. I started
using it with the planning and
research tasks which were then
uploaded to Blogger. I also used it
when creating my magazine for
when doing my article for my
double page spread . I have
found this soft ware very handy
and also very easy to use.
PowerPoint- I have used Microsoft
PowerPoint throughout the
process of creating my magazine.
I mainly used it for the Planning
and Research section but it was
also useful for cropping images or
Screen grabs and making them
into images which I then put on
my Blog. I found this software very
useful and very easy to use as I
was already use to the software
before.
Lighting- I used lighting when I
took images of my models for my
magazine. This was so the images
looked better and clearer on the
whit e backdrop and the lighting
makes the images look brighter
too. This has been the first time I
have used lighting when taking
images and I have learnt how to
position them to get rid of
shadows and to create an overall
good picture.
Computer- Throughout the whole
process of creating my magazine I
have used a computer and
because of this it has allowed me
to access all sorts of soft ware that
is available and unlimited amount
of information that has now
helped me create my final
product. I have found using the
computer very easy and it has
helped me a lot along the way.
Nikon d3200- I used the Nikon
d3200 for taking high quality
pictures of all of my photos for
my portfolio and for my
magazine. It was hard to use at
the start as I have never used a
camera before and as I used it
more and more I became
familiar with all of the soft ware
on the camera and it has
helped me a lot.
I have used a lot of
technology along the
way of creating my
magazine and doing all
of my coursework and
because of this it has
helped me develop
new skills such as using
cameras and lighting
for the first time and
also using the
Photoshop software for
the first time and it has
also improved the skills I
already had such as
using Microsoft Word
and PowerPoint more
often to help with my
product designing.
Because of this I now
find all of the software
that I use to struggle
with and find very hard
to use or do, I now find
it easier and do some of
the stuff without
thinking. The new things
that I have learnt will
now help me in the
future for my other
subjects and defiantly in
this subject and
hopefully it will help me
further in the future with
a job.
Google- I have used Google
throughout the process of
creating my magazine. I used
Google mainly with my planning
and research to go on my blog
and I also used it to find out what
magazine I wanted to do. I also
used Google to find pictures of
examples of magazine front
covers, contents pages and
double page spreads, I also used
Google to get images of people
to use for my fashion design and
how I want my artist to look on my
magazine. This is a piece of
technology that I have used and I
will carry out to used.
