The group used a Sony FS100 camera to film their music video, which allowed them to create slow motion effects in-camera rather than in post-production. They used different lenses on the camera to achieve various shots. An iPad was used on set to playback the song and count down shots. A field monitor connected to the camera allowed them to view footage as it was shot. Lights were controlled with a lighting mix box to sync light changes to the beat of the song. Jumpy cuts were used at the beginning and shots were let run longer to conform with indie-pop video conventions. Ensuring balloon pops timed with music and color grading the finished video maintained continuity.
