to visualize ideas, often using technology in the
process.”
There are many forms of technology that can be used
to represent a visual medium such as computers,
videos programs and digital images.
Advantages and Limitation of of Visuals:
Using visual tools allows the student to use their
ability to be creative, to unleash their uniqueness
and to think out side the box.

General Science
Pollution
Objective – At the end of the class discussion the teacher can provide a
slide show with diagrams of pollution, tips about preventing pollution and
the effects pollution has on the environment.
The teacher will provide handouts with a diagram of the ocean. The ocean
would be polluted by bottles, bags, old rubbish. The slide show would
then show a turtle eating a plastic bag, thinking it was food. A few days
late the turtle would be on the shore dead because of the intake of the
plastic bag.
Decoding Activity
Placing 3-4 students in a group to view the slide show and then as
questions based on the slide show. Ask the students to write a report
based on the slide show and in the report the students should write about
a personal experience relating to the slide show.
