Adam is panicking on his first day back at college after his friend Ellie went missing 5 months ago. Grace and Emily notice Adam's distress and try to comfort him, saying they also still feel the effects of Ellie's disappearance. The script then flashes back 5 months to the night Ellie went missing - she had gone to the bathroom at a party at Grace's house but never returned. Adam found her phone behind the couch and a scream was later heard in the woods. In the present, Adam sits blankly in class, still affected by Ellie's disappearance.

Sorry um I think it just all got a bit much seeing
everything and everyone again when she's not here
GRACE

INT. 5 MONTHS EARLIER, GRACE’S house, in the living room,
everyone is sat round a table with drinks in their hands, music
is playing in the background and they are having a good time,

ADAM receives a text
ADAM
Sorry to cut the party short but I've gotta get back, where’s
ELLIE I will go say bye
GRACE
I think she went to the toilet
ADAM goes out of the room to look for LUCY, we then hear ADAM
shouting LUCY’S name in panic, other characters look concerned
and GRACE gets up to walk to the noise, ADAM then suddenly re-
enters room.
ADAM
She’s gone, I can’t find her
EMILY
I’ll call her she might have just gone home
The sound of a PHONE RINGING comes from behind the sofa,
everyone looks up in fear, GRACE gets up to check the phone
EXT. RUNNING THROUGH WOODS. Nobody is seen apart from the
surroundings. HEAVY BREATHING and LEAVES RUSTLING
There is a SCREAM that breaks through the woods, then there is
SILENCE
3. INT. IN CLASSROOM AT COLLEGE, present day, we see the reflection
of ADAM in the computer in the classroom, he has a blank
expression.
