• The mean means average
• 10,9,8,4,5,and 3
• 1. add up all the numbers in the set
• 2. you should get 29
• After that divide by how many numbers there
are in the set (6)
• When you divide you will get 4.83 repeating

3. median
• The median is the middle
• 14,5,67,87,34
• To find the median put the numbers in the set
from least to greatest it should look like this
• 5,14,34,67,87
• Then you cross out numbers the first and last
number then the second and fourth number and
then the number left in the middle is your
median
• 5,14,34,67,87 the median is 34

4. mode
• The mode is the number that occurs the most
• 3,5,67,77,3,55,3
• The mode is 3 because it occurred the most
• 1,2,23,34,5
• If there is no mode you simply put a 0

5. range
• The range is when you subtract the biggest
number from the smallest number
• 1,35,45,65,23,87,3
• You would subtract 87 from one and get 86
