Standard 6: Reflexive auto evaluation 
Camila Cuevas Araneda 
Professional Practicum
Task 1: 
Throughout my whole experience as a teacher, I have learnt things I did not 
considered being part of my learning process at the beginning. 
To begin with, I now know by experience what it is to be a teacher in Chile, with 
its pros and cons. I have met so many teachers at school and I believe I have learnt 
a bit from each one of them. One of the history teachers for instance, is very 
passionate about what he does and is always trying to make things better at school. 
He participates in every single activity the school organises, whether it is as an 
active or passive member of it. I admire his work because he is very dedicated and 
puts a lot of effort in everything he does, and it can be seen his students appreciate 
that. 
I have also had the opportunity to talk with teachers about the Chilean 
educational system and how everything has changed in the last decade, with 
special attention to the school’s reality. We have also talked about our experiences 
at schools, even though most of them have worked for more than 2 decades in 
Liceo de Niñas, and they always seem interested about my experience and 
appreciation of the school. In general, I like the fact we can all have a chat about 
random stuff in our break time because that creates a nice atmosphere for all 
teachers during the day.

  • 2. Task 1: Throughout my whole experience as a teacher, I have learnt things I did not considered being part of my learning process at the beginning. To begin with, I now know by experience what it is to be a teacher in Chile, with its pros and cons. I have met so many teachers at school and I believe I have learnt a bit from each one of them. One of the history teachers for instance, is very passionate about what he does and is always trying to make things better at school. He participates in every single activity the school organises, whether it is as an active or passive member of it. I admire his work because he is very dedicated and puts a lot of effort in everything he does, and it can be seen his students appreciate that. I have also had the opportunity to talk with teachers about the Chilean educational system and how everything has changed in the last decade, with special attention to the school’s reality. We have also talked about our experiences at schools, even though most of them have worked for more than 2 decades in Liceo de Niñas, and they always seem interested about my experience and appreciation of the school. In general, I like the fact we can all have a chat about random stuff in our break time because that creates a nice atmosphere for all teachers during the day. In relation to my students and lessons I have learnt to be more confident and to use
