EXPERIENCE
CENTRAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Fayetteville, AR 1997–Present
State’s largest attended Methodist Church, drawing 1400 attendees Sundays. $3.1M annual budget & 50
employees. Support missions to the Amazon, Uganda, China as well as missionaries around the world.
Director of Technology
Manage media and technology for employees, weekly services and special events for a campus of multiple
buildings, large halls, and 50 classrooms that covers a city block. Seamlessly employ lights, music and media to
focus attention and create an atmosphere that facilitates communication while enhancing the audience experience.
• Facilities Manager: Manage planning, coordination and execution of media for large events including weekly
services, GED graduation, day-long simulcast events, large funerals and non-profit fundraisers. Plan and
prepare staging, miking, camera setup, lighting and audio/visual needs, ensuring media is compatible with in-
house systems. Set up and test satellite feed and web feed for simulcast programs. Manage events and
resolve technical issues quickly and effectively on the fly.
Played a key role in the growth and success of contemporary worship which uses media, lighting, and a live
band. Launched the first contemporary worship service with 125 people, and within 7 years averaged 650
attendees. Currently manage 2 services that draw 400+ people each.
• Director, “Feed My Sheep”: Recruited and developed a base of up to 80 volunteers dedicated to providing
setup, food service, and cleanup for large weekly events. Manage a system of teams with at least 10 people
per team. Deliver onsite training, assign responsibilities, and schedule team rotation.
• Director of Sounds, Light, Media: Prepare, create and edit media for audio, video and presentations. Direct
and manage the A/V booth. Mix sound and lights and run presentations. Edit and produce audio for CDs and
the Web.
Successfully led the church to invest in technology. Researched and sold-in upgrades to meet current and
future needs of a growing organization. Started with a 16-channel soundboard, low-end projector, and a
used computer. Today in addition to a crow’s nest in the Great Hall for A/V controls, we have a 48-channel
Allen Heath soundboard with Aviom inner ear monitors, a 96-channel light board, upper end projectors,
screens, and computers.
• Director of IT: Serve as Network Administrator, Email Administrator and Software Administrator. Contribute to
overall productivity and effectiveness by selecting proper equipment, performing preventive maintenance and
repair to minimize downtime of servers, Internet, computers, and A/V equipment.

Training: Train employees and volunteers on audio boards, soundboards, computers, and software
throughout the campus. Instruct individuals on proper use of the Crestron touch panels, A/V equipment,
check-in system and security system.
• Recent Projects
Classroom Media: Played a key role in integrating A/V and media solutions into classroom design. Created
a vision for a user-friendly touch panel A/V system and worked with a commercial audio systems firm to
secure the best end product for long-term use. Sold administrators and youth directors on simplicity, value,
and high quality sound of the system. Result: Newly constructed classrooms are equipped with 42” LCD
TVs with touch panels for easy use with DVD, VCR and computers.
Telecommuting: Completing VNC connection to allow employees to log on to secure individual work
stations from home.
Live Streaming: Testing live streaming video for broadcasting services live.
Google Apps: Converted email from MS Exchange Service to Google Apps, conserving resources while
ensuring greater email data security.
