This document outlines three potential music video ideas for different songs. The first idea is for the song "Send Them Off" by Bastille and would tell a narrative of two friends arguing over a girl they both text. The second idea is for the song "Settle Down" by 1975 and would show the band preparing for a show and performing. The third idea is for the song "Wisemen" by James Blunt and would illustrate a boy being bullied through a combination of narrative and performance elements. The document analyzes the genre, narrative, lighting, commercial appeal, and target audience for each idea before concluding that the third idea would be the best to fulfill the goals of the project.

Badanie i implementacja aspektu QoE (ang. Quality of Experience) w aplikacjac...Mikolaj Leszczuk
Roboczą definicję QoE podaje biała księga sieci QUALINET: „QUALINET White Paper on QoE Definitions” z 2012 roku:
„Quality of Experience (QoE) jest stopniem zadowolenia lub irytacji użytkownika aplikacji lub usługi. QoE wynika z realizacji oczekiwań użytkownika względem użyteczności i/lub zadowolenia z aplikacji lub usługi w świetle aktualnych preferencji użytkownika.”

Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.

Data Centers - Striving Within A Narrow Range - Research Report - MCG - May 2...pchutichetpong
M Capital Group (“MCG”) expects to see demand and the changing evolution of supply, facilitated through institutional investment rotation out of offices and into work from home (“WFH”), while the ever-expanding need for data storage as global internet usage expands, with experts predicting 5.3 billion users by 2023. These market factors will be underpinned by technological changes, such as progressing cloud services and edge sites, allowing the industry to see strong expected annual growth of 13% over the next 4 years.
Whilst competitive headwinds remain, represented through the recent second bankruptcy filing of Sungard, which blames “COVID-19 and other macroeconomic trends including delayed customer spending decisions, insourcing and reductions in IT spending, energy inflation and reduction in demand for certain services”, the industry has seen key adjustments, where MCG believes that engineering cost management and technological innovation will be paramount to success.
MCG reports that the more favorable market conditions expected over the next few years, helped by the winding down of pandemic restrictions and a hybrid working environment will be driving market momentum forward. The continuous injection of capital by alternative investment firms, as well as the growing infrastructural investment from cloud service providers and social media companies, whose revenues are expected to grow over 3.6x larger by value in 2026, will likely help propel center provision and innovation. These factors paint a promising picture for the industry players that offset rising input costs and adapt to new technologies.
According to M Capital Group: “Specifically, the long-term cost-saving opportunities available from the rise of remote managing will likely aid value growth for the industry. Through margin optimization and further availability of capital for reinvestment, strong players will maintain their competitive foothold, while weaker players exit the market to balance supply and demand.”
2. Type of music video
In my opinion the most effective music video we can achieve is a
narrative/performance style where we cut between the narrative and
performance throughout and use a range of locations for the
performance to represent the conventions of our chosen genre.
For the song selection we should choose a song with clear
conventions in a specific genre which will allow us to research the
genre and represent the conventions within our music video. Songs
within the Indie rock or alternative genre are more achievable as
they allow us to create a narrative around the themes of the song.
3. Commercialization
There will be a range of locations used in our video, from
research the most commonly
used are fields, stages, carparks in the rock genre.
Music videos have to appeal to specific audiences. To make
our video visually engaging we could use smoke machines
and high key lighting. These are commonly used in the
rock genre and are eye catching to viewers
4. Idea 1
• Alternative indie genre – ‘Send them off’ By Bastille, the video for this will be illustrative narrative and
performance.
• The idea for our video will be that two friends begin texting a girl (not realizing that the other friend is
also texting her) they then find out that the other friend is talking to her when they show the other
one a picture of the girl. They begin to argue and then fall out. It then results in the girl choosing one
of the friends.
• For this idea we will use a combination of both natural and artificial lighting, since the performance
aspect will be filmed inside with a black backdrop.
• Our commercial imperative for this would be the universal theme of love and also the idea also what
the artist is wearing. He will be dressed in a t-shirt with a shirt over the top.
• Our target audience for this idea would be women aged 15-21.
5. Idea 2
• Indie/Pop – ‘Settle Down’ by 1975, for this our video will be a combination of performance and narrative.
• The narrative part of the video will show the band getting ready for a show, and will show them moving
around all their equipment so that it is ready for there performance, it will show the group having fun and
laughing, but also have serious aspects to it.
• The performance part of the video will be the band performing and we will have frequent cuts between each
member of the band.
• For this we will require artificial lighting since most of the video will be shot inside.
• Our commercial imperative for this idea will be the the outfit of the band, the band will be wearing smart
casual clothing such as jeans and a t-shirt, this will appeal to a mass audience because the group will be
wearing clothing that anyone can wear so therefor the audience can relate to the band.
6. Idea 3
• The video for this idea will be illustrative and performance.
• Indie/Pop genre - ’Wisemen’ by James Blunt.
• The idea of this video will show a boy who gets bullied for being different, the video will follow the person
being bullied and make the audience sympathies for him.
• The performance will require artificial lighting and be shot inside, with a black background which will be
symbolic for the dark and negative theme we are trying to explore. The performance will have blue
lighting shinning on one side of the artist face.
• Our commercial imperative for this video will be the universal theme we are trying to explore which is
bullying, in the hope that we can relate to a mass audience.
7. Conclusion
• To conclude I feel that our final idea if the best one for me to fulfil. This is because the idea of the video
is challenging, however realistic. The props and locations we can use for this idea and easier to access
for this video compared to other ones.
