BACKGROUND: Anabolic-androgenic steroid compounds are one of the most widely abused drugs by athletes and muscle builders with the goal of improving performance/ability, appearance, or muscle mass. In addition, these steroids are widely used in the treatment of male infertility and subfertility. However, increasing concern has been shown that these compounds may not only offer unappreciable benefits to infertile and subfertile males, but might have deleterious effects on both human and animal physiology and sperm quality. There is a dearth of knowledge on the structural and quantitative changes of the testis secondary to this group of compounds. Objective: The present study was carried out to evaluate the effects of mesterolone (proviron), an anabolic-androgenic steroid, on some of the histomorphometric and stereological parameters of the seminiferous tubules in Sprague-Dawley rat. Materials and Methods: Two groups of 10 adult male rats were used. The treated group was given 0.06 mg/kg body weight/day of mesterolone by gavage for six weeks while the control group received equal volume of 0.9% normal saline per day. Five µm of uniformly random serial sections of the processed testicular tissues were analyzed using un-biased stereological and histomorphometric studies. Results: The results showed that the percentage mean volume density of both the tubular lumen and epithelial height increased by 35% (p< 0.05) and decreased by 50% (p<0.05), respectively compared to the control. mesterolone also caused a significant decline in sperm concentration. Conclusion: Mesterolone produces epithelial hypoplasia in the testis post continuous management.
Fatigue can be deϐined as an acute impairment of exercise performance. Many complex inter playing factors contribute to determine fatigue and in broad sense they can be separated as peripheral and central factors. Central Nervous System (CNS) adaptation responses to prolonged exercise could be considered in overall metabolic terms. Despite considering that brain function is not determined by a single neurotransmitter system, serotonin (5-HT) is the most extensive neurotransmitter studied. It is linked to fatigue due its well-known effects on sleep, lethargy, drowsiness and loss of motivation. The present study was designed to investigate the activation of Raphe nuclei neurons, the main source of 5-HT in the brain, through immunodetection of c-Fos protein in trained and sedentary rats. Sixteen male Wistar rats were divided randomly into 2 groups of eight animals, named T (trained - ϐive weeks, 15’ - 60) and S (sedentary). After c-Fos immunocytochemistry,
neuron counting was proceeded only if cell body was unequivocally immunostained and achieved by Image Pro-Pus computer program captured digital images. The examiner was unaware of the groups’ nature. In describing the c-Fos immunoreactive neurons (c-Fos-ir) in the rat brain. Evaluation of c-Fos-ir showed no signiϐicant differences in most of Raphe nuclei, except in most caudal part of Dorsal Raphe nuclei (p = 0,008) and Raphe Palidus nuclei (p = 0.006). Trained group c-Fos-ir neurons were more numerous than sedentary group. These regions may be related to excitatory respiratory nuclei modulation

Hemodynamic and hormonal effects of human ghrelin in healthy volunteers. To investigate hemodynamic and hormonal effects of ghrelin, a novel growth hormone (GH)-releasing peptide, we gave six healthy men an intravenous bolus of human ghrelin or placebo and vice versa 1–2 wk apart in a randomized fashion. Ghrelin elicited a marked increase in circulating GH. The elevation of GH lasted longer than 60 min after the bolus injection. Injection of ghrelin significantly decreased mean arterial pressure without a significant change in heart rate .In summary, human ghrelin elicited a potent, long lasting GH release and had beneficial hemodynamic effects via reducing cardiac after load and increasing cardiac output without an increase in heart rate. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate hemodynamic and hormonal effects of intravenous ghrelin in healthy volunteers. This paper discussed the constant stress level of healthy volunteers with times to damage of stress effect and recoveries

Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is a glycoprotein, a member of the transforming growth factor-B super family. This hormone is a sensitive marker of ovarian reserve. The present study aims to measure the Anti-Mullerian hormone in thalassemic females receiving the regular blood transfusion as well as patients of chronic idiopathic thrombocgtopenic purpura and age and sex matched controls. Serum Anti-Mullerian hormone was measured by ELISA and Ferritin were measured by RIA. Clinical evaluation was done for all patients including anthropometric measurements, pubertal staging and history taking. Results of the study were analyzed by appropriate statistical methods. Obtained results revealed that the values of Body Mass Index as well as Anti-Mullerian were significantly higher in controls than thalassemics and chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and there was a negative correlation between serum Ferritin and Anti-Mullerian hormone. Moreover, Anti-Mullerian hormone was significantly higher in patients receiving Desferal than in those receiving Deferriprone. Reduced Anti-Mullerian hormone in thalassemics as well as chronic ITP patients are considered an important indicator declines in ovarian function which entail modification in the therapeutic plans for thalassemic and chronic ITP patients.

COMPARISON OF SERUM LEVELS OF ZINC AND LEPTIN IN FEMALE ENDURANCE AND SPRINTI...EDITOR IJCRCPS
Abstract in consideration of leptin effects such as reducing food intake and increasing energy consumption, many researchers
have sought to examine the relation between leptin and exercise. The presence of reports arguing that zinc can be a mediator in
leptin production indicates a possible relation between zinc and leptin. The purpose of this study was to compare plasma leptin,
plasma zinc, and their relationship in Elite female endurance and sprinting runner(n=15) with non-athletes(n=15).Blood samples
were obtained 24 h after training to measure plasma zinc and leptin levels. In the present study, we did not observe any significant
difference for plasma zinc and leptin levels between groups(p >0.05). There was not significant correlation between plasma leptin
and plasma zinc in the study groups.
Keywords: Leptin, Zinc, Athletes.

Mathematical Model for Ghrelin Suppresses Secretion of Luteinizing Hormone an...irjes
A Minification process of the first order is given by Xn = K min (Xn -1,n), n1, where K >1 and
{n , n1 }is an innovation process of independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) random variables. In this
paper we consider a stationary bivariate minification process of Ristic with the bivariate Marshall and Olkin
exponential distributions BVE (1,2,12). In the application part, the orexigenic hormone ghrelin has been
frequently shown to reduce the activity of the hypothalamic pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis in animals and
humans. Ghrelin could play a physiological role in suppressing the HPG axis in women. Therefore, secretion
patterns of LH and FSH were determined in young women after injection of ghrelin and placebo respectively. In
Section 3, we have found Mathematical results for the corresponding Medical curves and we have compared the
medical conclusions.
A Stochastic Model of Reliability for Bivariate Gamma Distributions with the ...IJERA Editor
The theoretical study for the effect of stress on ACTH levels of individuals with a family history of alcoholism
may present a dysfunction in the activity of the HPA axis is investigated. The stress strength model describes the
life of a component which has a random strength Y and is subjected to a random stress X. R =Pr (X Y) is a
measure of the component reliability is used to find the levels of ACTH, Cortisol and -endorphin.
A stochastic modeling of biological systems is crucial to effectively and efficiently developing treatments for medical conditions that plague humanity. The study of challenge tests designed to evaluate serotoninergic pathways have widely used intravenous citalopram. Oral citalopram has also been used, but unsatisfactory results were obtained with a dose of 20 mg. We evaluated cortisol, growth hormone and prolactin levels and determine whether a higher oral dose would reproduce similar to those described for intravenous administration. Under the assumption that the threshold level of cortisol is a random variable follows exponentiated modified weibull distribution. The survival function of cortisol and its p.d.f are derived.
Application of Semiparametric Non-Linear Model on Panel Data with Very Small ...IOSRJM
-This research work investigated the behaviour of a new semiparametric non-linear (SPNL) model on
a set of panel data with very small time point (T = 1). The SPNL model incorporates the relationship between
individual independent variable and unobserved heterogeneity variable. Five different estimation techniques
namely; Least Square (LS), Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), Continuously Updating (CU), Empirical
Likelihood (EL) and Exponential Tilting (ET) Estimators were employed for the estimation; for the purpose of
modelling the metrical response variable non-linearly on a set of independent variables. The performances of
these estimators on the SPNL model were examined for different parameters in the model using the Least
Square Error (LSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Median Absolute Error (MedAE) criteria at the lowest
time point (T = 1). The results showed that the ET estimator which provided the least errors of estimation is
relatively more efficient for the proposed model than any of the other estimators considered. It is therefore
recommended that the ET estimator should be employed to estimate the SPNL model for panel data with very
small time point.
Exploring 3D-Virtual Learning Environments with Adaptive RepetitionsIOSRJM
In spatial tasks, the use of cognitive aids reduce mental load and therefore being appealing to trainers and trainees. However, these aids can act as shortcuts and prevents the trainees from active exploration which is necessary to perform the task independently in non-supervised environment. In this paper we used adaptive repetition as control strategy to explore the 3D- Virtual Learning environments. The proposed approach enables the trainee to get the benefits of cognitive support while at the same time he is actively involved in the learning process. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
Mathematical Model on Branch Canker Disease in Sylhet, BangladeshIOSRJM
Members of the Camellia genus of plants may be affected by many of the diseases, pathogens and pests that mainly affect the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). One of the most common diseases which are found in tea garden is known as Branch Canker (BC) [1]. Recent outbreaks of these diseases is not only hampering the production of tea, but also stupendously hampering our national economy. In this paper, a simple SEIR model has been used to analyze the dynamics of Branch Canker in the tea garden. The stability of the system is analyzed for the existence of the disease free equilibrium. We established that there exists a disease free equilibrium point that is locally asymptotically stable when the reproduction number Ro< 1 and unstable when Ro> 1. Theoretically, we analyze the BC model. Finally, we numerically tested the theoretical results in MATLAB.

We derive a least square plane and least square quadric surface Approximation from a given N+1 tabular points when the function is unique. We used least square method technique. We can apply this method in surface fitting also.
A Numerical Study of the Spread of Malaria Disease with Self and Cross-Diffus...IOSRJM
: A study of the SIS model of malaria disease with a view to observing the effects of self and crossdiffusion on spatial dynamics is undertaken. Three different cases based on self-diffusion and cross-diffusion are chosen for the investigation. Two cases of cross-diffusion without self-diffusion are also considered in order to see the effects of diffusion on the transmission of malaria. Basic reproductive numbers and bifurcation values are calculated for each case. A series of numerical simulations based on self and cross-diffusion is performed. It is observed that with positive cross-diffusion and self-diffusion in the system, there is a significant increase in the proportion of both infected human and mosquito populations. The proportion of infected humans increases markedly with cross diffusion in the system. This also gives rise to some oscillations across the domain.
Fibonacci and Lucas Identities with the Coefficients in Arithmetic ProgressionIOSRJM
We define an analogous pair of recurrence relations that yield some Fibonacci, Lucas and generalized Fibonacci identities with the coefficients in arithmetic progression. One relation yields same sign identities and the other alternating signs identities. We also show some new results for negative indexed Fibonacci and Lucas Sequences.
A Note on Hessen berg of Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number MatricesIOSRJM
The fuzzy set theory has been applied in many fields such as management, engineering, theory of matrices and so on. in this paper, some elementary operations on proposed trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TrFNS) are defined. We also have been defined some operations on trapezoidal fuzzy matrices(TrFMs). The notion of Hessenberg fuzzy matrices are introduced and discussed. Some of their relevant properties have also been verified.

Furthermore, we redefined the polyominoes as a special type of e-abacus diagram. Also, this study reveals new method of enumerating polyominoes special design when e=2
A New Method for Solving Transportation Problems Considering Average PenaltyIOSRJM
Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) is one of the conventional methods that gives better Initial Basic Feasible Solution (IBFS) of a Transportation Problem (TP). This method considers the row penalty and column penalty of a Transportation Table (TT) which are the differences between the lowest and next lowest cost of each row and each column of the TT respectively. In a little bit different way, the current method consider the Average Row Penalty (ARP) and Average Column Penalty (ACP) which are the averages of the differences of cell values of each row and each column respectively from the lowest cell value of the corresponding row and column of the TT. Allocations of costs are started in the cell along the row or column which has the highest ARP or ACP. These cells are called basic cells. The details of the developed algorithm with some numerical illustrations are discussed in this article to show that it gives better solution than VAM and some other familiar methods in some cases.
Effect of Magnetic Field on Peristaltic Flow of Williamson Fluid in a Symmetr...IOSRJM
This paper deals with the influence of magnetic field on peristaltic flow of an incompressible Williamson fluid in a symmetric channel with heat and mass transfer. Convective conditions of heat and mass transfer are employed. Viscous dissipation and Joule heating are taken into consideration.Channel walls have compliant properties. Analysis has been carried out through long wavelength and low Reynolds number approach. Resulting problems are solved for small Weissenberg number. Impacts of variables reflecting the salient features of wall properties, concentration and heat transfer coefficient are pointed out. Trapping phenomenon is also analyzed.

Bayesian Hierarchical Model of Width of Keratinized GingivaIOSRJM
The purpose of this paper is to offer a method for studying the treatment result of gingival recession. A parameter showing the success of the surgical treatment of gingival recessions is the keratinized gingival width. It was measured four times: at baseline, after 1 month, after 3 months and after 6 months. Every patient has data that can be described by an individual trend. Bayesian hierarchical model of the keratinized gingiva width’s increase rate is built.
A Novel Approach for the Solution of a Love’s Integral Equations Using Bernst...IOSRJM
In this paper a novel technique implementing Bernstein polynomials is introduced for the numerical solution of a Love’s integral equations. The Love’s integral equation is a class of second kind Fredholm integral equations, and it can be used to describe the capacitance of the parallel plate capacitor (PPC) in the electrostatic field. This numerical technique developed by Huabsomboon et al. bases on using Taylor-series expansion [1], [2], [3] and [4]. We compare the numerical solution using Bernstein technique with the numerical solution obtained by using Chebyshev expansion. It is shown that the numerical results are excellent.

: The tensor product G H of two graphs G and H is well-known graph product and studied in detail in the literature. This concept has been generalized by introducing 2-tensor product G H 2 and it has been discussed for special graphs like P n and Cn [5]. In this paper, we discuss G H 2 , where G and H are connected graphs. Mainly, we discuss connectedness of G H 2 and obtained distance between two vertices in it.
Classification of MR medical images Based Rough-Fuzzy KMeansIOSRJM
Image classification is very significant for many vision of computer and it has acquired significant solicitude from industry and research over last years. We, explore an algorithm via the approximation of Fuzzy -Rough- K-means (FRKM), to bring to light data reliance, data decreasing, estimated of the classification (partition) of the set, and induction of rule from databases of the image. Rough theory provide a successful approach of carrying on precariousness and furthermore applied for image classification feature similarity dimensionality reduction and style categorization. The suggested algorithm is derived from a k means classifier using rough theory for segmentation (or processing) of the image which is moreover split into two portions. Exploratory conclusion output that, suggested method execute well and get better the classification outputs in the fuzzy areas of the image. The results explain that the FRKM execute well than purely using rough set, it can get 94.4% accuracy figure of image classification that, is over 88.25% by using only rough set.
A Trivariate Weibull Model for Oestradiol Plus Progestrone Treatment Increase...IOSRJM
In the previous studies a hypothesis was developed from the results by using trivariate Weibull model that the increase in leptin concentrations during the second half of the menstrual cycle may be related to changes in the steroidal milieu during the pre ovulatory period and the luteal phase. The present study was undertaken to test this hypothesis further by examining the effect of treatment with oestradiol and progesterone on leptine concentrations in normal pre menopausal women. The trivariate Weibull model is used for finding survival functions and log-likelihood functions for corresponding values of oestradiol, LH and Leptin for both untreated and treated with oestradiol and oestradiol plus progesterone respectively.
A Generalised Class of Unbiased Seperate Regression Type Estimator under Stra...IOSRJM
In this paper a generalized class of regression type estimators using the auxiliary information on population mean and population variance is proposed under stratified random sampling. In order to improve the performance of the proposed class of estimator, the Jack-knifed versions are also proposed. A comparative study of the proposed estimator is made with that of separate ratio estimator, separate product estimator, separate linear regression estimator and the usual stratified sample mean. It is shown that the estimators through proposed allocation always give more efficient estimators in the sense of having smaller mean square error than those obtained through Neyman Allocation

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Abstract: Estimation of r when y is censored at x was applied to altered secretion of leptin, growth hormone
and luteinizing hormone after 84 h of sustained physical exertion super imposed on caloric and sleep
restriction an estimator based on a maximum likelihood estimates(MLEs) for reliability when stress is censored
at strength. We assume that X is a random strength of a component subjected to a random stress (Y) and
reliability of a component is given by R=P[Y < X],where (X,Y) follows the bivariate exponential (BVE) model of
Marshall-Olkin.
Keywords: Bivariate exponential model, Maximum likelihood estimate, GH,LH.
I. Introduction
The pulsatile release of growth hormone (GH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary
gland is integral for signaling secretion of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I and testosterone, respectively. This
study examined the hypothesis that 84 h of sustained physical exertion with caloric and sleep restriction alters
the secretion of GH and LH. The pulsatile release of GH and LH from the anterior pituitary gland is integral for
the trophic effects that these hormones exert on IGF-I and testosterone, respectively. The manner in which
anterior pituitary hormones are released and delivered to target tissues is more biologically significant than the
overall mean hormonal concentrations was well illustrated by Isgaard et al. , who demonstrated that GH
administered in a pulsatile manner elicited greater increases in IGF-I than GH administered in a continuous
manner. Because of the episodic release pattern of GH and LH, multiple time-point measures are necessary to
fully characterize the trophic effects these hormones may have. Although alterations in IGF-I and testosterone are known to
be mediated by fluctuations in GH and LH, few studies have concomitantly measured these hormones, especially in healthy
subjects exposed to multiple physiological stressors. Military operational scenarios represent a unique paradigm in which to
study endocrine responses to metabolic stress. Soldiers, analogous to emergency rescue personnel and ultra endurance
athletes are often required to perform heavy sustained physical exertion in the face of nutritional and sleep deprivation. Prior
work on military populations has shown that continued and prolonged exposure to such physiological strain can lead to a
suppression of circulating anabolic growth factors, losses of lean body mass, increased susceptibility to disease and
infections, and diminished physical and cognitive performance capabilities.Fourteen healthy male soldiers volunteered to
participate in the study. Three injuries and one illness prevented four of these test subjects from completing the study. The
data from the remaining 10volunteers [22 yr (SD 3), 183 cm (SD 7), 87 kg (SD 8)] are presented in this paper. The
experiment was approved by the appropriate Institutional Scientific Review and Human Use Review
Committees. The subjects were briefed on the study procedures, and written consent was obtained before study
participation. Mean GH concentration was significantly increased after military stress compared with the control
condition. The increase in mean GH concentration was accompanied by an increase in the following secretion
parameters: area under bursts, amplitude of bursts, basal secretion rate, overnight basal secretion, overnight
pulsatile secretion, and total overnight secretion. GH half-life, number of bursts, interval between bursts, and
amplitude of largest burst were similar between the control and military operational stress conditions

Mean concentration of all subjects over the 12-h sampling period.Samples were taken every 20 min for a total of
36 blood draws as represented on the x-axis. Main effect mean concentrations of GH (A), LH (B), and leptin(C)
after the military stress condition are statistically different (P≤0.05) from control for all hormones
The fact that short-term (4 days) military operational stress can have striking effects on the
neuroendocrine system raises questions for future studies concerning the potential adverse impact of long-term
military operational stress on soldier physiology and the subsequent health and fitness of our military
personnel. This study used a rigorous serial blood sampling scheme and subsequent time-series deconvolution
analyses to assess GH and LH secretion patterns. These data expand on prior research that relied on one time-
point blood samples to glean informationon the endocrine responses to stress that are subject to episodic and
circadian release patterns. The physiological significance of studying the pulsatile release of these hormones lies
in the fact that the episodic release pattern is thought to be integral in eliciting optimal agonist function at the
cellular level. The salient finding emerging from this study was an amplification of GH and LH secretion with a
concomitant decline in IGF-I and testosterone. Because GH and LH are known to positively regulate IGF-I and
testosterone, these data imply that the physiological strain experienced in this study induced a certain degree of
peripheral resistance.
Despite enhanced release of LH, testosterone concentrations decreased. During the 12-h overnight
sampling period, total and free testosterone concentrations were 24 and 30% lower after the military stress
condition, respectively. By considering the circadian rhythm of testosterone, our study has extended these
findings by demonstrating that testosterone concentrations are decreased and remain depressed overnight for a
12-h period following the conclusion of a multiple-day military stress condition. compared with younger men,
older men tend to possess greater LH secretion, which is hypothesized to represent a biological attempt to
maintain normal testosterone concentrations.Endurance-trained athletes have also shown decreased testosterone
and increased LH concentrations. The literature with regard to acute exercise stress has been equivocal. Thus,
although LH pulsatility is slowly restored in women, there is evidence to suggest that gonadotropin releasing
hormone neurons may rapidly respond to caloric intake. Leptin concentrations declined from 3.8 to 2.0 ng/ml
after military stress. These declines were coincident with marked reductions in fat mass and increased
concentrations of circulating free fatty acids (33%). This magnitude decrease for leptin is consistent with the
44% decrease reported by Maccario et al.After 36 h of fasting, but less than the 66% decline observed by
Gomez-Merino et al. fter a 5-day military combat course. These changes are reflective of substantial lipolytic
activity. Also of interest is the fact that the overall main effect mean for glucose concentrations was similar
between the control and military stress condition, suggesting that glucose homeostasis was well defended in this
paradigm. Although not measured in the present study, other studies have reported robust changes in cortisol
after military stress , and it is also probable that both cortisol and catecholamine elevations played a contribution
in maintaining glucose concentrations. The fact that the absolute losses in fat-free mass and fat mass were
similar suggests that amino acid fuel partially contributed to gluconeogenesis. Converging lines of evidence in
sheep, rat, monkey, and human models suggest that leptin acts as a peripheral signal to mediate metabolic
regulation of GH and LH secretion from the anterior pituitary gland. Leptin appears to prevent the fasting-
induced suppression of pulsatile release of LH secretion. In a recent study that evaluated the effects of differing
doses of exogenously administered Leptin in men during 73 h of fasting and employing 24-h blood sampling,
Chan et al. demonstrated a role for leptin in normalizing starvation-induced neuroendocrine changes, notably the
hypothalamic- pituitary-gonadal axis. Chan et al. hypothesized that a threshold leptin level between 0.5 and 2.0
ng/ml may be necessary for LH secretion.Although glucose concentrations have also been speculated to act as a
peripheral signal relaying information concerning nutritional status and within the context of the dramatic
hormonal changes observed , it is remarkable that glucosehomeostasis was well maintained.

One important observation here is that we have closed form expressions for the MLEs of (⋋2 γ) in this

III. Conclusion
That short-term military operational stress can exert marked effects in neuroendocrine secretion
patterns raises important questions concerning the potential adverse effects on longer-term military operational
stress on underlying physiology and metabolism and the health status of military personnel and also found
likelihood of sample for 36 size of leptin.
