2. Archaeological Methods:Survey Techniques Manual Linear and circular surveying is manually performed via divers, measuring tapes, photography, drawing and GPS coordinates. Remote Sensing This is done through the use of sensitive sonar tools from a boat and can be very useful if the project is at great depths, or if the area in which the surveying is taking place poses a risk for divers.
3. Excavation This practice is executed when an area has been chosen for further exploration. This is done when a specific area displays a palpable amount of historical, and or culturally significant artifacts.

5. Theory Imperative to avoid top down approaches when analyzing and formulating questions to ask. View people and societies as people and societies. They are to be treated as a whole, not individual objects. The world is interconnected, and outside relationships can prove to be some of the most important and historically relevant. Everything we uncover, these societies used daily. The objects were of value and held importance just like our ipod’s do to us today.
