OBJECTIVES
 HERO WAS FOUNDED IN 1984 WITH JAPANESE COUNTERPART HONDA.
 New motorcycle model - 'Splendor' introduced and 1,000,000th
motorcycle produced in 1994.
 Hero Honda Splendor was declared the world's largest selling
two-wheeler in 2000.
 4,000,000th motorcycle produced in 2000.
 5,000,000th motorcycle produced in 2001.
 Declared the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in the world
in 2001.
 Became the first Indian company to have sold 70,00,000 units
in 2003.
 Achieved the 15 million production mark in 2006.

THEREFORE SOME DATA MAY NOT BE RELIABLE.
 DEATILED STUDY COULD NOT BE DONE DUE TO LACK
OF RESOURCES AND TIME.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
 Hero is one of leading two wheeler producer in the
world and a major player in the Indian Market. They
were the producer of largest selling motor cycle of
the world that is Hero Honda Splendor it has its own
importance still in the market. But from the past two
or three years Hero Honda suffered a slight loss in its
market share and Bajaj became a big competitor to
Hero Honda. The introduction of Bajaj Pulsar is one of
the biggest threat to Hero Honda.
