ABOUT SAMOSA TRADE COUCIL – STC The Samosa Trade Council was set up in the year 2004 with its headquarters in London to market ‘Samosas’, a very popular snack among Indians and to a certain extent with foreign nationals. Ever since its inception STC has taken laudable steps to increase the consumption of samosas in United Kingdom. An STC approval on any samosa outlet would mean that the samosa being served is of the best quality and freshly prepared in the most hygienic conditions. STC is also making efforts to increase the number of samosa outlets throughout U.K. The future plans of STC also include increasing the consumption and sales of samosas throughout Europe.
The research conducted by the R&D department on “The Growth of Fast Food Industry in U.K.” ,  1) The market for eating out continues to enjoy good levels of growth and is projected to be worth £27.5 billion by the mid of 2006, a rise of over 25% since 2000.  2) Despite new eating out styles and cuisine continuing to come to market there remains a core popularity embracing both traditional foods such as pub food and fish and chips and the older established ethnic cuisine like Indian .  3) Pub catering remains consistently the most popular eating out venue attracting a broad scope of consumers. Samosa specifications Veg samosas : Paneer samosas, Cheese samosas, Spanish samosas, Chinese samosas, Palak Paneer samosas, Punjabi samosas, Onion samosas, Dosa wrap samosas, bread samosas Non Veg Samosas : Chicken samosas: Peppered, Barbeque, Grilled.,Mutton Samosas, Beef Samosas, Fish Samosas, Minced Meat Samosas Accompaniments Samosas are served with relishing, finger licking and refreshing ‘chutneys’. It is made of peanuts, cashews, fresh herbs, fresh chilies, ginger, garlic and fresh green mangoes or lime juice with spices.  Size And Shapes Samosas will be available in various shapes like pyramidal, triangle, cone etc.

INNOVATIONS 1  SAMOZZA : Here we intend to make a samosa plus pizza. This will be helpful in catering to the needs of those consumers who have a great liking towards pizza and want to try something more then normal pizzas. Even those consumers who may not prefer samosas can be gradually absorbed through this strategy.  2  SAMBURG : This is also an innovation wherein the cutlet in between the buns will be replaced by slim samosas. This again will help us in catering to the burger-loving-consumers.  3  SAMWICH : As the name suggests this is a samosa-sandwich. 4  NON DEHYDRATING SAMOSAS : STC has ascertained through research that most of the fast foods prepared are highly dehydrating after their consumption. Therefore the samosas are prepared with less of dehydrating components.
