In regards to week seven of my internship with P2P, my duties included the
continuation of social media marketing posts as well as sending email
newsletters to lists of contacts. Since the internship is coming to a close, I’ve
been focusing on these duties entirely and will be for the remainder of this
course. A skill I would of like to accomplish, but was unable to due to time and
other priorities would be sales. P2P is a company that specialize in consulting
and advisory services and sales is incredibly because that’s how the company
makes income. I find sales incredibly intimidating, but it would be interesting to
learn in any aspect and see if it would be a skill, I could grasp eventually.

Project Option 1: Semi-Structured Interview
Conduct a semi-structured interview (at least 30 minutes) with a friend, relative, classmate, or roommate about their residential experience and daily activities as a student in Atlanta. Using Smith and Fox’s Studentification Guide for North America as a starting point, brainstorm key themes; and design an interview script to explore consisting over 5-7 primary questions with associated secondary follow-up questions. The purpose of the interview is to explore the lived experience of students in the city, including (for example):
· Housing histories and the (social, geographic, economic) factors shaping residential decisions;
· Student perceptions of the neighborhoods surrounding campus (Summerhill, Downtown...);
· Satisfaction with housing options and cultural amenities surrounding campus and places of
residence;
· Places that are experienced as ‘student’ and ‘non-student’ environments (where students study,
work, socialize, live etc.);
· How socio-demographic characteristics impact the experience of space and place...
You may conduct you interview online or using an online platform like WebEx, Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom. Identify themes in your participant’s responses. Transcribe and code your interview and explain how you identified key themes and narratives from your interview.

However, the guidelines for this assignment limit the scope to a replication of the 2007 Clark and Springer study. For example, the correct phrasing of the Week 2 problem statement that I provided you was "It is not known what the possible causes and remedies are of incivility in nursing education in a university environment from both student and faculty perspectives." For the Week 5 assignment, you would use the problem statement verbatim but just change "nursing ed.

Competing on Social Purpose
a) Summary and Analysis
The article discusses the recent trend of business attempting to pick up social purposes to associate with their business to promote profit, sales or other functional benefits. This is because there is a shift of customer preference on the brands they wish to associate themselves with. The article establishes that the business models that had a social purpose initially incorporated into their businesses show a steady growth rate and do not face the challenges of competing on social purpose. Such companies include TOMS, Warby Parker, and Patagonia.
The challenges of competing on social purpose tackled in this article are mostly encountered by businesses that are trying to develop social purpose strategies after running for a while without any. The article defines three fields in which managers should focus on to create effective social purpose strategies which include:
· Brand heritage – This revolves around the merger of the companies’ principal product/ service’s features and the nature of the social purpose strategy. The more compatible they are, the easier it is to come up with an effective social purpose strategy.
· Customer tensions – This revolves around active knowledge of the social tensions facing the target market.
· Product externalities – This revolves around active knowledge of the indirect costs or benefits that are linked to the company’s product/ service. This is more likely to affect companies dependent on 3rd party interactions.
b) Critical Thinking
Studies have established that the modern day consumer is more likely to associate themselves with and/or buy products from companies that have a defined social purpose that addresses societal tensions or public issues. This speaks to the shift in consumer trends in which is directly linked to their psychology. For this purpose, it is integral for managers to focus on a few characteristics of purpose-driven growth. Firstly, it is important for managers to understand that once a social-purpose association to a brand is established, it is misguided to change/ shift course. This connection is important the consumers to the extent that sudden shifts in social purpose strategies could challenge consumer loyalty. Thus it is important to select the appropriate strategy.
Another element to keep in consideration is that whilst there is a significant shift in consumer trends, there is no certain way to assess market potential and benefits. Companies that have successfully employed social-purpose strategies have illustrated growth whilst the companies that have failed to apply appropriate strategies have faced persecutions on social media and recorded drops in consumer rates, however, these do not establish definitive data. Most data on the success/ failure of social-purpose are collected through consumer surveys rather than customer behavior effectively making them less credible.

A HYBRID CLASSIFICATION ALGORITHM TO CLASSIFY ENGINEERING STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS ...IJDKP
The social networking sites have brought a new horizon for expressing views and opinions of individuals.
Moreover, they provide medium to students to share their sentiments including struggles and joy during the
learning process. Such informal information has a great venue for decision making. The large and growing
scale of information needs automatic classification techniques. Sentiment analysis is one of the automated
techniques to classify large data. The existing predictive sentiment analysis techniques are highly used to
classify reviews on E-commerce sites to provide business intelligence. However, they are not much useful
to draw decisions in education system since they classify the sentiments into merely three pre-set
categories: positive, negative and neutral. Moreover, classifying the students’ sentiments into positive or
negative category does not provide deeper insight into their problems and perks. In this paper, we propose
a novel Hybrid Classification Algorithm to classify engineering students’ sentiments. Unlike traditional
predictive sentiment analysis techniques, the proposed algorithm makes sentiment analysis process
descriptive. Moreover, it classifies engineering students’ perks in addition to problems into several
categories to help future students and education system in decision making.

This marketing report has been fabricated to propose and implement a new creative marketing campaign for the recently introduced ID application for student beans. With a budget of £100,000 we aim to achieve 150,000 app downloads, with 50,000 verified users. Alongside this, we plan to greatly increase the awareness of the app to both our new and existing target market audience.
In order to accomplish the aims and objectives of the report, we firstly have to identify an appropriate target market based on a marketing segmentation, targeting and positioning analysis. Thus, we have specifically targeted students aged 18-24, within the top 20 highest populated universities in London (appendix 4). From this, our market research allows us to get a better understanding of the current social trends within the student lifestyle, permitting us to tailor our campaigns to their desires. Once a target market had been established, we undertook a marketing audit, consisting of; SWOT & TOWS analysis, PESTEL analysis, Porter’s five force and competitor analysis. This market analysis drew our attention to the continuous increase in mobile technology and the velocity of social media marketing. In conjunction to identifying the opportunities within the current market, we were able to decipher methods in which we can utilise said opportunities through our campaigns.

BackgroundAnalysis
Facebook is thinking to add a new feature that has a significant amount of request from people for a
long time; “the dislike button” (flynn, 2014). Similarly, while in a Q&A session in California, He
emphasized that the team would have to search for a unique method to ensure it does not become a
direction to demean people posts (lee, 2014). On the contrary, in the article Warc (2014) Mark
Zuckerbergmentionedthe importanceregardingthisissue “oftentimes usersshare things on Facebook
that are depressing, sorrowful andsadmomentsintheirlives. He furtherstates in the Q&A session that
mostof the time people toldusthattheydon’tfeel comfortablepressingthe likebuttonaslike is not an
appropriate sentiment. Furthermore flynn, (2014) stated the views of CEO Zuckerberg on expressing
sentiments that “You know you can always comment” while he also accepted that clicking a button is
simple than thinking and writing a witty comment. Conversely the former chief technology officer of
Facebook Mr. Taylorargued thatit may have a lot of negative consequences. Although he suggests if a
userwant to dislikesomething, itshouldlikelybe expressedinacomment. Because there is expectedly
a word for what you want to say.

From the above section, itisevidentthatbecause of the demandsfrompeople, Facebook is looking for
ways to integrate this new feature in a way that does not directly have an impact on the posts, and is
still unsure if thisdecisionwillbenefitthe organization.Onthe contrary, the argumentative viewsabove

As Mr. Zuckerberg mentioned that often time’s people express sad and depressing moments on
Facebookusersfeel reluctanttoshowa positive behavior(liking the post), and are still finding the best
suitable tointegrate thisfeature withoutgivinganimpression to demean the posts. Therefore, putting
this in our research objectives, I would want to explore and evaluate the usage expectations and
attitudefor the dislike button withamore qualitative approach, and in the end the results may show a
clearer picture on the three mentioned research objectives above.

Researchmethodology
Since I am tryingto solve afreshproblem, therefore, one of the biggest obstacles is to look and find for
similar literature, and there is hardly any. Which is why, I will be continuing with the exploratory
research method.Mooi andSarstedt,(2011) statesthat exploratoryresearch is used to define and look
for a problemandsituation.Moreoverthe author further explained that this approach can help derive
organizations problems. In relation to the problem, this chosen methodology will help us to find the
main causes and symptoms as translated by the decision maker’s (Universal teacher, 2015).
My methodsfor conducting exploratory research will include personal interviews, and online surveys
about Facebook itself, with these two approaches I will decipher the research objectives using the
consumer attitude model which according to Clow and Baack, (2013, pp.86) breakdown in three steps
that are 1) affective (consist the feelings and emotions one has for a particular topic or issue), 2)
Cognitive (understanding and the interpretations of the issue) and lastly the conative (the one’s
intentions, behavior). As explained the basic theory that is relevant to the issue and will be given
importance while gathering the research data using the above methods.
In contrast, to minimize the chances of errors in collection of data in both methods, precautions like
keeping an extra recording device, with and additional memory stick and batteries to ensure the data
collection process go smoothly while interviewing, however for survey proof reading of questions,
ensuringthe surveyisdistributedtothe rightaudience.Once all the dataisanalyzed, thenI will present
hypothesismentioningthe possibilities and acceptance of this new feature in the market based on the
results upon each question.
Data collectionandanalysis
As I have chosentwodifferenttypesof data collection methods the one is directly observed (personal
interviews) and will be evaluated based on the responses from the users, and secondly the online
surveys will be created using Google surveys which will help to present the raw data in visual format.
However, the face to face interviews will be taken 5 days per week on different locations in London,
mostly targeting the students. However, the allocation of times for the interviews for both of these
groupswill be different to each other and strategic based on their routines. For example: most of the
studentsthatbelongwithinthe targetgroupcanbe accessedwithindifferentlocationsof the university
radius all time of the day till the university is open. Therefore, the interviews will be conducted from
studentsthatbelongtodifferentfacultieswhenthey will be finished with their class and going back to
their home or at work with a relaxed and in a happy mood. On the contrary, the social media surveys
will be sharedmostlyatnighttimingsfor5 days perweekincludingincreasedactivityon the weekends.

Sampling
I will be using the stratified sampling method to take out most perfect samples for the research, from
our populationof different groups, I will define the strata from the population which will be based on
differentfacultiesfromthe university, andthenbasedonthe differentgroupsof strataI will take outmy
sampleswithinthe age of 18-26 forboth male andfemale.Inparticularforthe sample size, theymay be
30 for both male and female, which may increase. Conversely, one of the biggest challenges that may
arise using this method of sampling is to find and observe the right targeted sample from each strata.
Therefore,Iwill thenapplySRS (simple random sampling) within the different strata groups randomly
and choose the samples for interview.
On the contrary,The internetsurveywill be shared with mostly with the type of people who are more
like to respond instantly anything negative or harsh such as; (such as the online skeptic/religious
community). Moreover, there is a vast number of groups on Facebook that does not like Justin Bieber
(attachment 1), and I can use their names to get instant opinions about the research objectives
Timeline
As the market report has to be submitted by 30th
march, therefore keeping the research analysis and
conclusionsinmind,Iwill finishthe conductingthe face to face interviews by the end of January that is
31st
jan 2015, However, because the surveywill be consistingthe same questionsas will be asked in the
face to face interviews, therefore, I will also start taking the online surveys on Facebook by January as
well, and aim to finish it by 15th
February. Hence, I will then have enough time to analyze and come at
conclusions.

and the privacy, Dawson, (2007) mentioned that according to data protection act 1998 that the taken
information should not be kept longer than necessary and ensuring that the data is kept secure.
8. 7 | P a g e
Furthermore inconfidentiality,he statesthatthe researchinformationshouldnotbe disclos-ed to third
parties. Moreover, about the privacy of the research participants that in any manner the participant’s
views should not be used against himself in any means.
Therefore, I guarantee not to use any names and personal information in the final report and not to
disclose any information to any third party group or any individual.
