• High price is reported as the main barrier in accessing markets
• Price levels for all commodity groups are mostly perceived as high
• Broader areas with lower and higher price level for basic goods were identified.
• Solid fuel appeared to be unavailable in some semi-peripheral locations and mostly unavailable in periphery
• Financial institutions are operational in sub-centers and in semi-periphery and are mostly unavailable in peripheral locations

• The tendency for the rise of food prices was revealed at
some extent in 13 out of 19 location where comparisons
were possible
• Average increase in prices for Food/NFI as compared with
average prices reported in Round I was:
(1) Food – 5%
(2) Medication – 4%
(3) Coal – 12%
(4) Firewood – 25%
(5) Hygiene items – prices remained at approximately the
same level

• The most significant price increase was observed for
eggs, with average price increase of 47% exceeding 100%
in some locations
• Vegetables in general showed reduction in price by 21%
on average

15. Price for Solid Fuel
• 3 coal traders and 3 firewood traders were identified
• The prices for firewood varied from 350 to 400 UAH/m3 .
• Coal traders provided the price data varying from 2800 UAH
to 3400 UAH
• The customers in 30 localities reported the price they
purchase firewood for, which varied from 350 UAH/m3 to
800 UAH/m3 .
• The average price for firewood as reported by customers
was 550 UAH/m3, that is 25% higher (110 UAH) than the
average price for firewood calculated based on the data
from Round I.
16. Price for Solid Fuel
• Coal price data were reported by people in 28 locations
with the lowest price of 1500 UAH/t and the highest one of
4200 UAH/t. The average price of 2690 UAH/t indicated
12% increase when compared to the average coal price
reported in Round I.
• Some customers in periphery and semi-periphery pointed
out high delivery costs of coal up to 1200 UAH.
