In the final events leading to Jesus' crucifixion, he is anointed with perfume, shares the Last Supper, predicts his betrayal, and is arrested after being betrayed by Judas. Despite Peter's insistence that he would not deny Jesus, he ultimately does so three times before the rooster crows. After Jesus' death, he is buried in a tomb, but on the resurrection morning, women find the tomb empty and are told that he has risen.
