The document provides details from Mark 14 about events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion. It describes how the chief priests were plotting to kill Jesus, the anointing of Jesus by a woman, Judas agreeing to betray Jesus, their last supper together where Jesus predicts his betrayal, Jesus praying in the garden of Gethsemane and being arrested. Key events include the woman's act being spoken of throughout history, Jesus establishing the Eucharist during the last supper, Jesus experiencing deep distress in the garden, and Judas identifying Jesus with a kiss to betray him to the authorities.

Why should I teach others the good news of salvation in Jesus? What moves me to tell them? Motivation is vital to understand, and by looking at Jesus we see four reasons he talked to others about Jesus: compassion, purpose, love of the Father, and joy. These should be my motives also.

We know that Jesus bore our sins. But the false idea of his death being vicarious or a substitution is not what the Bible teaches. Passages used to support this idea are discussed makeing it clear that sin is not transferable; Jesus was not made sin, nor forsaken by His father; He was without sin and bearing our sins is about removal of sins, not transferring.
In the last hours before His suffering Jesus will provide teaching concerning the judgement coming on the Jewish nation, and how His Apostles will remember Him after He is gone. (Mark 13:1-14:72)

As we continue to explore Jesus' non-stop day of ministry described in Matthew 13, Mark 6 and Luke 9, we will focus on one of the major events of that day... the feeding of the 5000. In looking at this miracle, we will ask ourselves some probing questions concerning our response to needy people.
In this section of Mark's gospel, the author profiles four powerful situations where those who witness Christ's power believe in Him as Lord and Savior. (Mark 4:34-6:56)
From the opening verse we immediately see Mark's goal of presenting Jesus as a divine being through the witness of His teaching and miracles. (Mark 1:1-45)
“Are We Setting Ourselves Up To Fall?" - [Mark 14:27-31, 53,54, 66-72] - Every sin we commit is a result of our failure to implement the wisdom & strength of God, which He provides us through His word. After Peter is told he will deny Jesus three times, he assures Jesus he would never do that - then he denies Jesus three times. How did Peter get from confessing Christ & defending Christ to denying Christ?- - 11/2/2014

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
