The document discusses the process of digestion that occurs in the stomach and intestines. It begins with an activity to simulate how food is broken down in the stomach by shaking food pieces in a ziplock bag with water. Next, it explains that in the stomach, food is broken down mechanically by muscle contractions and chemically through digestive enzymes and juices. Food stays in the stomach for about four hours before moving to the small intestine as a thick liquid. Another activity simulates how nutrients pass through the walls of the intestines using a paper towel. Finally, it describes how the small intestine, about 7 meters long, further breaks down food into nutrients that are then absorbed and carried by the bloodstream to the body.

Module 1-week 1 and 2 Philippine physical activity pyramidRogelioPasion2
The document describes the Philippine physical activity pyramid. It explains that the pyramid is a plan to guide people towards an active lifestyle through different levels of physical activity. The bottom level involves activities people should reduce like sitting or taking elevators. The next level includes recreational activities to do 2-3 times a week like dancing, sports, or yoga. The third level suggests playing sports 3-5 times a week. The top level includes activities to incorporate into daily life like walking or household chores. It provides an example questions to identify the level different activities fall into based on the pyramid.
This document provides a lesson plan on teaching students about the Philippine Physical Activity Pyramid and indicators of fitness. The lesson plan includes:
1) An introduction to the Physical Activity Pyramid which categorizes activities as moderate, vigorous, exercises for muscle fitness, and minimal. Example activities are provided for each category.
2) An explanation of the four indicators of fitness - cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility. Pictures are used to demonstrate levels of fitness.
3) An assessment for students to identify example activities and place them in the appropriate Physical Activity Pyramid category. Students are also asked to define the Physical Activity Pyramid.
The lesson aims to educate students on maintaining a
