A hybrid cloud combines private and public clouds to provide flexibility, agility and cost control. However, operational silos, complex application management and lack of portability limit its effectiveness. To address these challenges, enterprises should unify infrastructure management across clouds with a single control plane. This allows monitoring, managing and orchestrating all environments with the same tools. Choosing a solution like unified cloud management or a unified platform like Kubernetes can provide the necessary abstraction and standardization to improve hybrid cloud operations.
The document discusses Azure DDoS Protection Standard. It notes that DDoS attacks are increasing in frequency, size, and sophistication. Azure DDoS Protection Standard provides continuous monitoring, edge mitigation to protect datacenter bandwidth, regional failover, and global mitigation capacity of over 25 Tbps. It is designed to provide automatic network layer attack protection and analytics for virtual network resources.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a cloud platform designed to help customers modernize, adapt, and innovate. It provides over 100 platform services to support workloads, runs in 46 global cloud regions, and offers flexibility through public cloud, hybrid cloud, and multicloud options. OCI aims to help customers modernize their entire application portfolio and infrastructure more efficiently and with more agility.
Azure Infrastructure Services provides compute, network, and storage services on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform. The presentation discusses how IT infrastructure supports business objectives, outlines various Azure services including virtual machines, networking, storage and identity/access management, and demonstrates how to migrate applications to Azure through strategies like lift and shift or refactoring for the cloud. It also compares Azure services to analogous offerings on AWS.
Best Practices for Integrating Active Directory with AWS WorkloadsAmazon Web Services
Active Directory (AD) is essential for Windows workloads in the cloud. AWS offers customers multiple ways to integrate AD with cloud workloads like EC2, RDS, and AWS Enterprise Applications: AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory (Enterprise Edition) as a managed service and Active Directory running on AWS EC2 Windows instances. Which option is right for you? This session will discuss the key deployment considerations for each option to help you identify which best meets your project goals, and the effort involved. The session will cover options for integrating with your on-premises directory, port and security considerations, application considerations, and best practices.
The document discusses multi-cloud management. It describes how using multiple cloud providers can help organizations capitalize on different computing models but also adds complexity that requires effective management strategies. It identifies the main goals of multi-cloud as avoiding unnecessary complexity and containing costs. It also outlines some of the main challenges of managing heterogeneous clouds, such as complexity, lack of interoperability, and increased management overhead.

Wide variety of services that cloud architectures can manage using different approaches for example Azure Active Directory Domain Services (Azure AD DS), part of Microsoft Entra, enables you to use managed domain services—such as Windows Domain Join, group policy, LDAP, and Kerberos authentication—without having to deploy, manage, or patch domain controllers.
When managed domain services are enabled for virtual machines and directory-aware applications deployed in Azure with a click of a button.
Reduce operational and maintenance costs associated with managing identity infrastructure for your virtual machines and legacy applications.
Managed domain allows legacy applications to be run in the cloud through an easier means of migrating on-premises apps to a managed domain.
Furthermore it allows streamline management of all applications from your legacy, directory-aware apps alongside your modern cloud apps with a single identity solution. It allow the achievement of highly available service with the use of Azure AD Domain Services which can includes multiple
domain controllers to provide high availability for your managed domain.
This approach will ensure business continuity and guaranteed service uptime and resilience to failures.

A Comprehensive Guide to DeFi Development Services in 2024Intelisync
DeFi represents a paradigm shift in the financial industry. Instead of relying on traditional, centralized institutions like banks, DeFi leverages blockchain technology to create a decentralized network of financial services. Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity serverAntonios Katsarakis
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).

In the realm of cybersecurity, offensive security practices act as a critical shield. By simulating real-world attacks in a controlled environment, these techniques expose vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. This proactive approach allows manufacturers to identify and fix weaknesses, significantly enhancing system security.
This presentation delves into the development of a system designed to mimic Galileo's Open Service signal using software-defined radio (SDR) technology. We'll begin with a foundational overview of both Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and the intricacies of digital signal processing.
The presentation culminates in a live demonstration. We'll showcase the manipulation of Galileo's Open Service pilot signal, simulating an attack on various software and hardware systems. This practical demonstration serves to highlight the potential consequences of unaddressed vulnerabilities, emphasizing the importance of offensive security practices in safeguarding critical infrastructure.

Chris Jones, Director of Product Management at BrainChip , presents the “Temporal Event Neural Networks: A More Efficient Alternative to the Transformer” tutorial at the May 2024 Embedded Vision Summit.
The expansion of AI services necessitates enhanced computational capabilities on edge devices. Temporal Event Neural Networks (TENNs), developed by BrainChip, represent a novel and highly efficient state-space network. TENNs demonstrate exceptional proficiency in handling multi-dimensional streaming data, facilitating advancements in object detection, action recognition, speech enhancement and language model/sequence generation. Through the utilization of polynomial-based continuous convolutions, TENNs streamline models, expedite training processes and significantly diminish memory requirements, achieving notable reductions of up to 50x in parameters and 5,000x in energy consumption compared to prevailing methodologies like transformers.
Integration with BrainChip’s Akida neuromorphic hardware IP further enhances TENNs’ capabilities, enabling the realization of highly capable, portable and passively cooled edge devices. This presentation delves into the technical innovations underlying TENNs, presents real-world benchmarks, and elucidates how this cutting-edge approach is positioned to revolutionize edge AI across diverse applications.
