The objective of any organization or firm is to achieve higher productivity. The concept of Human Resources within organizations is very vital in the management and survival of any organization; this is because their performance is influenced by a set of human resource practices. The main focus of this study is to determine if human resources management practices (Human resources (HR) Planning, training and development) affect productivity and performance of Transport Organizations. The human resource management practices or HRM practices have to be addressed in this position, in order to examine productivity and performance of the organization. In analyzing the data, both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. A total of 75 questionnaires was distributed out of which 60 was returned. Result of analysis showed that training and development enhances productivity of transport organizations and also adequate human resources planning promotes employee productivity and organizational performance. It is therefore recommended that all level of employees receive adequate training and proper human resource planning should be in place to promote productivity and performance of the Transport industry in Nigeria.

Businesses that expect to succeed in Europe in the next few years will have to come to grips with some serious challenges related not to raw materials, manufacturing processes, or the evolving nature of trade in the Eurozone, but with a host of issues related to how they recruit and manage staff.
The more specialized the staff, the more important these HR-type issues are. At least that’s the conclusion of a report by the Boston Consulting Group titled The Future of HR in Europe: Key Challenges Through 2015.
More specifically, the report asserts that five elements of HR are critical to organizations’ futures, and further notes that most organizations surveyed for the report acknowledged that they are currently weak in those areas.
These five elements are all components of workforce management: managing talent, demographics, work-life balance, and change, as well as becoming a learning organization. The rapid globalization of the economy and work may highlight these challenges today, but to my recollection, they’ve always been critical to an enterprise’s success.

For example, roads continue to be stacked with lanes which are dedicated to a particular type of traffic such as commercial vehicles, bicycles, Automated vehicles, and commuter vehicles. The transformation in the transportation sector tends to be imminent and they have significant implications on the agencies that govern the transportation sector. Due to the robust alteration in the transport sector the Department of Transportation of the United States needs to ensure that it is able to quickly adapt to the changes which are influenced by the advancement of new technology. Through the adaptation of the new technological trends the United States Department of Transportation is able to efficiently develop the physical infrastructure of transportation and also the rural, urban and suburban development. Adjustability to the new and upcoming technological trends in the transportation sector and being able to provide effective solutions may be quite challenging because it may require agility as well as radical innovation. The frequent disruption in the transportation sector may challenge the culture of the Department of Transportation because it often relies on compliance and risk reduction and not mainly on experimentation. This research paper will mainly focus on the issues which arise with the evolution of the transportation sector and provide recommendations on how the issues may be addressed to meet the demands influenced by the technological trends.
Leadership Challenges
