The Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce maintains eight working groups to promote business in Afghanistan and offer services to members. Each group focuses on an issue important to stakeholders and uses member experience to address obstacles to economic ties between the US and Afghanistan. The groups recruit businesspeople, academics, and government officials and are often led by AACC board members, meeting every two to three months to correspond between meetings and produce reports for members and government officials.

2.  In order to meet its goals of promoting business
in Afghanistan and offering useful services to its
members, the Afghan-American Chamber of
Commerce (AACC) maintains eight working
groups. Each group focuses on an issue of
particular interest to the AACC and its
stakeholders in industry and government, using
its members’ experience to identify and
address obstacles to stronger economic ties
between the United States and Afghanistan.
The groups recruit businesspeople as well as
academics and government officials.

3.  They are often led by AACC board
members and meet as often as is practical,
usually once every two or three months.
Group members also correspond between
meetings and produce and review reports
that can be shared within the AACC’s
membership as well as with officials of the
U.S. and Afghan governments. The eight
working groups currently include:
