¿De cuántas noticias, mensajes, denuncias, señalamientos ha sabido usted por ejemplo esta semana a través de las redes sociales?, cierto estoy que han sido muchas, y la capacidad potenciadora del mensaje no tiene hoy límites, pero ¿serán verdad o mentira?. Lo interesante es que así como todos se sienten una especie de periodistas, la otra cara de esa misma moneda también nos lleva a que todos nos expongamos y cedamos privacidad. García lo resumía con una idea de Haruki Murakami, estupendo escritor japonés, autor entre otras de “Tokio Blues”, Kafka en la orilla y “Baila, baila, baila”. Como los estímulos las fuerzas vienen de todos lados, la posibilidad de permanecer estable e inmutable ante los acontecimientos es nula. La estabilidad es entonces un espejismo, por ello recomienda Haruki: “No dejes de bailar mientras suena la música. ¿Lo entiendes?. Baila. No dejes de bailar. No pienses por qué lo haces. No le des vueltas ni le busques significados”. En realidad, no significa nada. Algo parecido es lo que ocurre en Twitter. Los que mejor bailan navegan apropiadamente; otros lo siguen.
Por lo mismo, la otra cara de eso, estimados lectora lector, es que todos se exponen, personas públicas y privadas, lo hacen además voluntariamente, quizá sin darse cuenta del paso que dieron. Quienes quieren destacar en este nuevo mundo de redes sociales dice Eduardo Arriaga, tendrán que bajarse del pedestal de la autoridad y quitarse algunos velos, al menos los velos que lo homogenizan como político o servidor público; quitarse los velos que ocultan su perfil como persona. La única forma que nuestra participación genere el ‘engagement’ -grado en el que un consumidor interactúa contigo o tu marca- pasa sin duda por quedarse mucho más expuesto: las autoridades, los profesionales, los empleados se convierten en personas de carne y hueso, con sus nombres, gustos y fobias.
