Programme structure, content and
delivery
All students on the Professional Practice MSc take
the following core modules in Stage 1:
Stage 1:
• Learning and Development:
Friday 20 – Sunday 22 October 2017
Friday 24 – Saturday 25 November 2017
• Evidence-based Practice:
Friday 26 – Sunday 28 January 2018
• Inter-professional Working:
Friday 23 – Sunday 25 March 2018
Taught sessions typically commence at 09.00
and end at 17.00.
Although all teaching dates are provisional, these
will only be changed in exceptional circumstances.
Students will take the following modules in Stages 2
and 3:
Stage 2:
• Research Skills
• A Thinking School: Transforming Learning
• Addressing Barriers to Learning
Stage 3:
• School-based Dissertation – linked to the School
Development Plan
Each module is introduced through a range of formal
seminar sessions, guest speaker lectures and workshops.
All modules within the programme are taught over either
one or two weekends (typically Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
The core modules are taught at Kent’s Medway campus.
The Teaching and Learning modules will be taught at
one of our partner schools in Medway.
Teaching and assessment
You will be asked to undertake preparatory module
reading and associated tasks, deliver presentations
and carry out work-based investigations.
Fees
Annual fee for 2017/18: £2,620
Annual fees for 2018/19 are subject to annual fee
incremental rises. Postgraduate loans for Master’s
degrees are available (subject to eligibility criteria)
