This document presents key characteristics of mammals. It states that mammals have lungs and breathe air, most give live birth and feed their young with milk, and while many have four legs, humans have two legs and two arms. Aquatic mammals, such us whales and
dolphins, have fins for swimming. Many
terrestrial mammals also have a tail.
