This document provides instructions for a summer assignment asking students to research a recent article or book on reading assessments published within the last 5 years. Students are asked to summarize the main points of the source, discuss how the information could be applied to their required curriculum, and explain how it could assist with pedagogy for struggling readers. Students are also asked to include the source's bibliography.
