This document outlines Laura Simpson's major studio final project concept for an interactive installation called "Delirium Control". The project aims to create an experience where the user and a character on screen share a hallucination. The user must guide a protagonist suffering from sleep deprivation through a potentially dangerous scenario using decision-making. The document discusses the concept, methodology, technical infrastructure using Max/MSP, Touch OSC, prototypes, user testing and conclusions. Testing showed the navigation could be confusing but the story was generally effective at creating the intended frame of mind.

38. User Testing Navigation: Toggles lighting up to indicate what page the user should proceed to is a bit difficult to get used to. Instructions are clear. Story: Relatable. Users can see themselves in the place of the protagonist. Very Long. Creepy and disorienting, but the mundane aspects are too mundane.

39. Conclusions The project was moderately successful. The Navigation for the iPodcontroller has a learning curve and did seem to increase confusion in the users. The Story was fairly successful in setting the frame of mind. Further editing for length will make it easier for the users to engage.
