Macter pherma has its plants in Nazimabad site area (2 plant) and itโs Head office is
located near Shahrefaisal.

Macter pherma major employees are their sale persons so their field force 800 700 and
other are functional employees. Overall employees of Macter pharma are 1500 to
1200.
COMPETITORS
Macter pherma direct competitor is Hilton pharma and other competitors are different
on bases of product nature.

department try to manage it first if they feel it an ineffective way then they involve 3rd
party for that vacancy.

While attracting the high quality employee Macter Pharma focuses on well-being of their
organization as well as environment. Their job specification includes knowledge, skills,
approaches, and behaviors that identify with environmental management systems within
an organization.

While selecting new employee Macter Pharma makes sure that the candidate is familiar
with the concept of green business practices. Macterโs interviewers ask question related
to green business activities to test candidateโs knowledge about it. They conduct most
of their interviews through these mediums.

Macter Pharma conduct interviews through computers. Candidates have to answer a list
of questions on computers. They use laptops instead of desktops because laptops
consumes less energy than desktop. Macter pharma uses computerized interview
because it eliminates the use of papers and save power energy which ultimately leads

Macter Pharma conduct initial interview through phone call or videos. It causes all the
candidates to not to travel to Macter Pharmaโs office who would not even be selected.
Because candidates travel by cars, autos, bikes and etc, which smoke causes air
pollution. Phone and video interviews eliminate travelling unnecessarily to the offices. It
helps Macter Pharma to achieve their goal to implement green HR activities.

HOW MACTER PHARMA CONDUCT PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL:
8. Macter Pharmaโs HR manager told us that they conduct performance appraisals on
semi annual basis to evaluate the performance of their employee while focusing on
environment health. They use MBO appraisal technique to categorize their employee
into performer and non-performer.
MBO Appraisals:
In Macter Pharma, the manager and the employee agree on completion of specific task
with a deadline. The manager assigns task to the employee online which help to reduce
use of paper. While assigning tasks, manager makes sure that employee consider it
achievable so it does not create any conflicts.
COMPETATIVE STRATEGY OF THE COMPANY
COST LEADERSHIP STRATEGY
Macter company use cost leadership strategy to compete in the market.
They produce quality products in a low price.
HRM TOOL OF THE COMPANY
They are not focusing on the HRM tools but They are using software SAP for their main
purpose which is implement since 2012 also they use private software for other
purposes like attendance of the employees ,this software is customize and integrated
with SAP.
LIMITATIONS:
When Macter Pharma train and develop their employee they do not use green HR
practice. They conduct workshop, seminars, assessment centres in which papers and
power energy are used in large amount. Trainees have to travel to the training centre
which minorly also increases air pollution as they travel through vehicles that causes air
pollution.
To eliminate these factors that damage the environment they can conduct online
trainings. But Macter Pharma believes that online training is not as effective as direct
training because online training does not motivate and establish a learning environment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Macter Pharam is not performing many HR activities while implementing green HR
practices which is causing damage to environmental sustainability. Here are some
9. recommendations we would like to give them which can help them to mantain well-
being of the environment.
1- They should conduct trainings online because it can largely help them to reduce the
use of papers.Company should start online training
2-It should be effective to pay employee for travelling budget reduction and consuming
their time saving.
3-They should also use computerized work mostly they get benefit for the paper
reduction and minimize their cost .
