examination, what tests would be run to aid with the diagnosis, and what would those tests reveal

3. –Who gets this disease -- what is the rate in the general population, are there differential
incidence rates based on gender, geographic location, economic status, educational status, or
other variables?
4. –What is the prognosis upon diagnosis -- the expected duration, and a description of the
disease course throughout the rest of the life of the patient. For example, will there be
progressive decline, intermittent crisis, or sudden, unpredictable crisis? Is the disease likely to
kill the patient, or will they more likely die of something else? Base the prognosis on statistical

1. Lyme disease name came as a female first reported an unusual cluster of pediatric arthritis in
1975. tgis happened in a small coastal town of connecticut named LYME. In 1977 the disease
named lyme disease on the name of the city LYME.
2. The clinical symptoms of the disease are- fever , headache, arthritis, feeling tired. the other
symptoms are inability to move one or both portions of face, joint pain, neck stiffness.
the MD can order several immunological or molecular test method for the diagnosis of the
disease .western blotting and ELISA are most relevent test for detectinf antibody against it. PCR
can also be used.
3. LYME disease is a zoonosis , which is transmitted to humans by ticks. it is geographically
distributed mostly in the northern hemisphere temperate regions. as it is transmitted by ticks ,
tick removal is important. a person should care for his personal hygenie and cleanness should
wear full clothes.
4. the prognosis varies with the time of the disease. prognosis in early stage of the disease is
curative. after several time if prognosis is made patient complains for joint and muscle pain,
neurocognitive symptoms persisting for years these signs may be present despite antibiotic
treatment.
long term prognosis results in glomerular disease. it may be fetal in some cases.
