2. The Lupong Tagapamayapa
Incentives Awards was established
pursuant to Executive Order 394, in
recognition of the lupon’s contributions
in promoting the Katarungang
Pambarangay Program.

3. Awards Objectives
 Strengthen the Katarungang Pambarangay
(KP)
 Institutionalize a system of granting economic
benefits to Lupons which demonstrate
exemplary performance
 Generate greater awareness among, and
support from, the various sectors of Philippine
Society on the KP

1. All Lupons nationwide are covered by the
annual awards;
2. All the Lupons are evaluated on the basis of
three (3) Major Criteria:
a. Efficiency in Operations
b. Effectiveness in Securing KP Objectives
c. Creativity and Resourcefulness in Securing KP
Objectives

7. Efficiency in Operations
Observance of settlement
procedures and deadlines,
proper recording of
complaints and serving of
summons to parties
Conduct of monthly
meetings exclusively for
KP matters
Systematic
maintenance of
records of all complaints filed and
actions taken, minutes of meetings,
transmittal reports and records on the
execution of settlements or awards

8. Effectiveness in Securing the
Objectives of the KP Program
At least 90% of cases
settled against the total
number of cases filed
No repudiated nor
recurred case
after settlement;
At least 80%
compliance with
the terms of settlement
award.

9. Creativity and Resourcefulness
Introduce innovative mediation
methods/techniques
Establish active coordination with concerned
agencies i.e. DSWD, PNP, DAR, DepEd, DOJ
Conduct sustained advocacy efforts in the
promotion of the KP

10. Creativity and Resourcefulness
Initiate and conduct KP trainings with funding support
Attended KP trainings upon invitation of sponsoring agencies
Designate an area or facility within the barangay hall or separate
structure exclusively for the KP activities
Mobilize budgetary support from city or municipal government,
national government agencies, NGOs, and community participation in
KP activities

11. Awards and Prizes
 Each National Awardee lupon through the Lupon
Chairman shall be conferred with a Presidential
Trophy and cash prize to be utilized for KP
Programs and Projects.
 Each Runner-up Awardee lupon shall be
conferred with a Plaque of Recognition and cash
prize to be utilized for KP Programs and Projects
 A Hall of Fame Awardee, shall be conferred with
a Presidential Trophy and a cash prize to be
utilized for KP programs and projects.

1. Brief Profile of the Lupong Tagapamayapa
2. Performance Highlights
3. Attachments:
– Summary of cases and related information
– Transmittal of KP Reports to DILG and Courts
(certified photocopy)
– Minutes of Meeting of the Lupong Tagapamayapa
(certified photocopy and translated in english or
Pilipino, if prepared in local dialect);
– Pictures of KP undertakings with captions
