Max Lüscher believed that sensory perception of color is objective and universally shared by all, but that color preferences are subjective, and that this distinction allows subjective states to be objectively measured by using test colors.

Murray developed a theory of personality that was organized in terms of
Motives,
Presses, and
Needs.
Murray described needs as a "potentiality or readiness to respond in a certain way under certain given circumstances …. It is a noun which stands for the fact that a certain trend is apt to recur" " (1938).
Theories of personality based on needs(Being Unconscious) and motives suggest that our personalities are a reflection of behaviors controlled by needs.
He assumed that the human natural state is a state of disequilibrium, and that is why people have needs—to satisfy the lack of something.
While some needs are temporary and changing,
Other needs are more deeply seated in our nature.
According to Murray, these psychogenic needs function mostly on the unconscious level but play a major role in our personality.

Psychology of Colors session by Bara' Harb BaraaHarb
"Color psychology suggests that certain colors are capable of evoking certain moods and may even have an influence over behavior and well-being.1 While color associations can be influenced by a number of different factors, including past experiences and cultural associations, some colors do tend to evoke certain moods or feelings." verywell.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. The Luscher color test is a
psychological test invented
by Dr. Max Lüscher in Basel,
Switzerland.
3. Max Lüscher believed that
sensory perception of color is
objective and universally
shared by all, but that color
preferences are subjective,
and that this distinction
allows subjective states to be
objectively measured by
using test colors.
5. THE TEST
After subjects placed the cards in
order from most liked to least liked,
they were asked to evaluate the extent
to which their personalities matched
the descriptive statements formed by
Lüscher of each color.
6. 1st Position
This is the most-liked color;
it is your personal brand. It shows
the essential method of the person
choosing it, the means which he
adopts to achieve his objective.
7. 2nd Position
This also shows an important subject,
commonly representing what the
person really is, even when
he/she are not aware of it.
8. 3rd and 4th Position
These two show the “actual state of
affairs”, the situation in which he
actually feels himself to be, or the
manner in which his existing
circumstances require him to act.
9. 5th and 6th Position
Being the 'indifference' color choices,
these show that their characteristics
are not being rejected, but simply set
aside and not currently in use; they
could be brought into use at
any time if need to be.
10. 7th and 8th Position
These colors represent a “turning
away from”. These are the colors that
are most disliked and "represent a
need which is suppressed out of
necessity“.

study.
Wisdom: Blue enhances the wisdom of the intellect.
BLUE
13. In our language, blue has meanings of both good and bad.
Blue blood refers to being part of a special lineage. Blue
ribbons are the standard for achieving the first prize on a

loyal person. But on the negative side, feeling blue usually
means we are sad and blue movies is an expression for
pornography.
BLUE

why it is used for pedestrian crossings. In our language,

Yellow Kid, is that which is sensational and/or biased.

status and dignitaries are welcomed with a red carpet.
RED

The color purple, because materials for dying fabric in
that color were rare and therefore expensive, was
reserved for royalty or the wealthy in western cultures
and still has an association with nobility. This
association resulted in another idiom, “born to the
purple,” meaning “someone born to royalty during their
reign” and, by extension, referring to children of
prominent people.
VIOLET
