The study focuses on optimizing the design and weight of a piston used in internal combustion engines by employing honeycomb structures. By replacing traditional materials with honeycomb designs, the researchers found that the weight reduction led to a 21% decrease in inertial force, which positively affects the engine's mechanical efficiency and brake power. The modeling and analysis were conducted using CATIA V5 software, and the results demonstrated improved structural strength and performance of the piston.
