This paper presents a new image retrieval method utilizing low-level features extracted from images using directional binary code (DBC), Haar wavelet transform, and histogram of oriented gradients (HOG). The proposed method combines DBC for capturing spatial relationships, Haar wavelet for image decomposition, and HOG for encoding shape and local features, demonstrating superior performance compared to existing methods on standard image databases. The document also addresses the challenges of retrieving images from vast digital image databases, emphasizing the importance of content-based techniques.
