I achieved a Distinction in OCR level 2 National Certificate in Media last year and I
am now currently working towards a Level 3 Media Diploma. The course focuses on
teaching us, creativity, and understanding of media industries, working in groups to
produce showcases, learning how to use Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut, researching

Oxfam - On Saturdays I did voluntary work at the Oxfam bookshop in Huntingdon. I
was polite and friendly towards other members of staff and customers and I would get
on with the tasks which had been set for me to do. I did my best and asked for help
when I needed it. I completed my work experience in 2011 with the Oxfam bookshop
in Huntingdon High-street. Whilst I was working in the Oxfam bookshop I have
developed a number of skills and learnt new skills such as how to deal with customers
and how to manage stock. I was also taught how to lift heavy objects carefully
without injuring others or myself in the process. The role, which I had applied for,
was a Sales Assistant and the tasks, which I had to do include:
• Serving customers on the till at the front of the shop
• Checking stock
• Re-filling shelves as and when books are brought or need to be replaced
• Counting and taking note of how much money was made on that day
• Locking the door at the end of the day
• Cleaning the shop floors and back room at the end of the day
