William Sharp is writing to inquire about the possibility of a work experience placement with the BBC Television Centre in London. He is currently studying media technical and film courses in school and feels television production is something he would like to explore further. Through previous film projects in school and personal filmmaking, William has realized his passion for the film and television industries. Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to enquire about the possibility of a work experience placement with your company
within the foreseeable future.
Studying a twelve unit media technical which ranges though multiple topics and unit, as well as a
Film A-Level at Long Road sixth form centre, I feel television production is something i’d like to
explore.
I would like to work for BBC London as I’d like to get a taste for how Television programs are
planned and produced, as well as getting experience of working with a large crew on sight.
Since producing a short film for college almost two years ago, i’ve realized my passion for film and
television making, going on to being accepted into the nationally run BFI film academy in which we
learnt about different film and television trades, then went onto make a short film in a large crew.
I’ve also made my own short films multiple times, learning more each time.
I would like to think i’m friendly, hardworking, reliable and like learning more about a trade i’m
hugely interested in. My personal interests are film making, skating and photography, mainly taking
pictures of urban areas and interesting buildings, mainly at night.
