Pentecostalism Pentecostalism is one of the major denominations of Protestant
Christianity that originated from the Holiness Revival of the 19th century. The
Pentecostal Movement began in Topeka, Kansas at Bethel Bible College,
established by Charles Parham who taught that speaking in tongues was a spiritual
gift that demonstrated as evidence of baptism with the Holy Spirit, a distinct type
of baptism experienced in chapter two of the book of Acts on the day of Pentecost.
On January 1st of 1901, Agnes Ozman, a student at Bethel Bible School, was the
first person to speak in tongues after being baptized with The Holy Spirit. This
marks the beginning of the Pentecostal Revival. In 1905, Parham began preaching
in Houston, Texas where he began a smaller bible school. According to Kevin
Sack, a journalist for The New York Times, an African American pastor named
William Seymour would attend Parham s services though he was made to sit
outside the room and listen through a cracked door. Parham s teachings of baptism
with the Holy Spirit enveloped Seymour, who took this new theology to Los
Angeles in 1906 where he temporarily pastored a small African American Holiness
Church. The church rejected Seymour s claims on tongues as proof of baptism with

History
In 1890, a German physician named Quicke described a neurological condition in
which patients had signs and symptoms of increased intracranial pressure without a
brain tumor being present [1]. Between 1927 and 1937, Dr. Dandy, a pioneer of
neurosurgery was able to gather the most common signs and symptoms of 22 patients
with pseudotumor cerebri [2]. These symptoms included headache, nausea, vomiting,
diplopia, dizziness, and loss of vision. It is important to note that the patient seen in
our clinic was not experiencing any of the mentioned symptoms except for vision
loss. According to Dr. Dandy, the most common ocular signs were bilateral
papilledema and some patients had retinal hemorrhages, which indicated long
standing severe intracranial hypertension. In each case intracranial pressure was
measured by ventricular or lumbar puncture and measured to be anywhere from 250
to 550 mm of water and in every instance the ventricles were smaller than normal and
symmetrical. The treatment for most of these patients was a right sub temporal
decompression. This was done if the signs and symptoms indicated a need for
intervention. In most patients there was a complete, spontaneous cure [2]. A more
recent prospective study of 50 patients showed the breakdown of the most common

noticed a few different themes. Some of the theme I noticed was justice, lying,
mortality, and sin. Justice was present through the whole play; in fact, it was the
heart and soul of the play. Justice was present when Claudio was sentenced to be
killed and the Duke allowed Angelo to change Vienna s laws.
Measure for Measure to me was an interesting and convincing play. The part that
worked the best was when the Duke disguising himself as Friar. I would of never
known the disguise without the program. Another bit that worked well was when
Claudio was arrested and sentenced to death. The opening, when the Duke did the
announcements, it was hilarious. The part where I felt scared was after Claudio had
sex with Juliet. The part where I felt sad was when Claudio was sentenced to death.
Overall the characters were entertaining. Most of the characters were genuine. The
productions had a religious message for the audience. The message was not to have
sex before marriage.

April 24th, 2012; the sound of the news on the television hums in the background
drowned out by people talking and laughing. Fire Station 141 is buzzing with life;
everything is in calm and peaceful; when suddenly a loud screaming sound rings
through the brick walls. All of the men in the station startle to attention and rush
around in organized chaos. The shuffling of boots on the smooth concrete floors
and ruffling of thick fire suits is drowned out by the resounding alarm. The men
pile into the large red trucks and screech out of the station. The alarm becomes
silent and the station is abandoned and the only sound it the news humming in the
background. The men hardly fit in the small quarters of the truck. The smell of
