PROJECT WORK
EFFECT OF FUEL CELL ON DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Worked on the dynamic model of a SOFC Fuel Cell, which is used in transient
stability studies. An environment comprising of distributed utility grid that uses Fuel Cell
and a gas turbine as distributed generators (DG) is simulated and the transient stability of
the system is investigated for different DGs power outputs using software developed based on
the commercial Power system tool box and SIMULINK in MATLAB. An interfacing method for the fuel cell to
the grid has been realized

 Joined Chamundeswari Electricity Supply Corporation Ltd. (CESCOM) as Field
Supervisor / Project Engineer (projects) for one of the GOK’s prestigious project NJY
(Niranthara Jyothi Yojane) in March 2012. (A Government of Karnataka Undertaking),
Mysore provides good service solutions to the Consumers.
 Gained Knowledge regarding Rules, Regulations & Tariffs of KERC through
e-procurement portal.
 Co-ordinate with SEE, EEE & AEE to ensure the Daily, Weekly and Monthly activities including
Production & Quality of Work Undergone.

 In CESCOM, We got exciting opportunity to learn about Generation, Transmission & Distribution
process goes and how the Line works (11kV line) process done. Started to handle a GOK’s Prestigious
Project Niranthara Jyothi Yojane (NJY) in Nagamangala Divison of Nagamangala Taluk which deals with

3. providing 24Hrs power supply to Rural areas by segregating Agricultural loads & Non-Agricultural
loads from existing 11kV line into New NJY 11kV line (Purely Non-Agricultural load). By monitoring the
special project and clearing the targets, got sufficient exposure in various practices such as field
works/office works & attending review meetings constantly under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble MD,
CESC with SEE, EEE & AEE. Daily visit to Sub-Stations & O&M Sections in order for providing LC to
firms on smooth working of line works. And also got the knowledge of new projects (R-
APDRP/RGGVY/HVDS/SCADA/Smart Grid/Pilot Projects/DDUGJY) by working in Projects section.
 Intensive training on how the projects works goes/field works goes & office works goes and also
learnt to prepare the statistical report.
 Was placed in the Planning & Comissioning (P & C), IP Predominental & Ht rating
team as back up staff to find and provide solution on the disputes (from
farmers/Raitha Sangha/Land owners and other disputes).
 Also working in Project Section as back up staff for project monitoring, learnt
monitoring the progress by collecting monthly & weekly physical & financial
progress of NJY Phase-1 & NJY Phase-2 works covering in NJY areas from all the
O&M divisions and preparing the statistical report and submitting the report to
Energy Department.
 In Project section not only preparing the statistical report also put up note for
inspection offered by firms awarded for NJY works for the offered quantities against
the DWA awarded to them & also by issuing OM’s & DI’s correspondingly.
