So for my film opening title I decided to film it near my home so it would be easier to get to and
from shooting easily without wasting time so that’s why I chose to do it outside and inside my house.
The places I chose also worked well with my film as it helped me develop the main villain even more
than it should have.
Here is the first shot I filmed outside, it is an alleyway between my house and my neighbour’s house
and I thought it would work well for a horror as the main antagonist would follow the protagonist
down a dark alleyway where no one would see him so I thought this would work well In my film to
try and do a similar feature but with my antagonist but do it so much that we don’t know much or
anything about the protagonist. This scene was an i mprovised scene as it wasn’t on my storyboard
but it replaced Scene 6 and in my opinion I think this was a wise decision as it would help me
develop my antagonist.
This was the second scene that I did outside and was the quickest to film as it was just two shots.
One would include me stood there doing nothing and the second was just a normal shot of the wall.
My first thought was to do the shot outside of the house (Scene 9 and 10 on storyboard) but i didn’t
think it would go with the character well so I decided to do with a wall instead as it would hide the
antagonists location and add a dramatic effect to the opening title.
The rest of the shots were filmed inside of my house as scene in picture, some of my unused shots
were filmed outside here too. Though they were never used as it had no actual relevance to the
character or the plot. The shots in here also helped with the development of my character as it
finally shows us what he does to his victims and that he never works alone, and as it is a murder
scene it wouldn’t of worked well outside as it would make the villain look like an amateur for
murdering someone in view of other people, so I thought it was a good way to portray the main
anagonist
Layout of the filming location as taken from google maps.
