It partners with Baptists worldwide to provide opportunities for all people to hear and respond to the Gospel, with the goal of establishing indigenous Baptist churches. In 2008, IMB had over 5,500 field personnel who were involved in evangelism that resulted in over 500,000 baptisms and the establishment of over 26,000 new churches.

Currently there are 4 areas each overseen by an area bishop, and it was proposed to reduce to 3 areas. The presentation covered the history of areas, roles of bishops and archdeacons, financial implications of reducing one area bishop position, and small group discussion questions on strategic leadership and effects on mission. Attendees were invited to provide feedback to help inform the archbishop's final decision.

Does it work?
This issue of the church newsletter covers several topics:
1) The interim rector calls on parishioners to get more involved in the church by volunteering their time and talents, as Christian education programs and Vacation Bible School will need new leaders.
2) The senior warden provides an update on the search for a new rector, noting that the targeted search process did not find a match but that the search committee will continue looking.
3) The treasurer reports that the church has a budget surplus for 2010 and expects to break even in 2011, though pledges are down so no new programs or staff can be added for now.
This document summarizes the results of a survey conducted by Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Raymore, Missouri as part of an "All In" campaign to understand members' needs and design their future ministry. The campaign engaged over 40 volunteers who made 1000 phone calls to members. Funds raised will help pay down the church's land mortgage of $27,000 annually.

The document is the 2009-2010 annual report of NET Ministries, which challenges young Catholics to embrace their faith. It discusses findings from surveys that show many Catholic millennials hold views at odds with Church teachings, such as not believing in objective truth or thinking abortion is acceptable. However, it also notes that NET alumni continue serving the Church through vocations and parish work due to their "evangelistic impulse" awakened through NET. The Archbishop's remarks emphasize that while the millennial generation presents challenges to the Church, NET is helping to address erroneous beliefs and remains a promise for the future.

This document discusses why the author is encouraging the adoption of the Master's Plan of Evangelism and Discipleship (also known as G-12) in the Southern California District. It summarizes the author's experience visiting the Cali Church of the Nazarene in Colombia, which was implementing the Master's Plan successfully. The author then draws parallels between the Master's Plan system and John Wesley's system of interlocking small groups, which was highly effective in spreading Methodism. Adopting a system like the Master's Plan may help revitalize churches by emphasizing prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and empowering lay leadership.

With the 2010 reporting year the Award of Excellence will change to the World Evangelism
Church of Excellence with the expectation a church give at least 5.7 percent (or $1,500
USD, whichever is less) beyond their WEF. This still invests in new world areas and new
works. For more information about the funding changes approved at the 2009 General
Assembly and scheduled to take effect with the 2010 reporting, visit
