The International Mission Board (IMB) is the Southern Baptist entity that facilitates churches' involvement in global missions. It partners with Baptists worldwide to provide opportunities for all people to hear and respond to the Gospel, with the goal of establishing indigenous Baptist churches. In 2008, IMB had over 5,500 field personnel who were involved in evangelism that resulted in over 500,000 baptisms and the establishment of over 26,000 new churches.
