6. The genre is attractive it can have be hilarious,
have a great story, be over the top, have funny
characters who you understand and have
funny popular characters
I like the genre because even during a sad time
it can lift your mood and make you feel better
and cheerful.
Three factors which attracts me to the genre are
the stars, funny storylines and the characters
within the story.
7. How?
I find out about films via social networking,
advertisements, internet and word of mouth.
Why?
Things such as stars, characters, popularity and
reviews as well as the reputation of the film
would make me go and watch it.
10. This is influence from other writers, directors, films,
etc.
When inspiration and ideas are taken, reinvented
and reimagined, if someone didn’t know who
wrote SuperBad and who wrote The Inbetweeners,
they could say that their could have been a possible
use of intertextuality, school boys, best friends,
drinking, getting into trouble, having a crush on
girls.
11. This in film is when a popular star/celebrity is used to
play a main role in a film, this is so people will watch it.
Which can also be helped with the advertising area of it as
they will have their picture on posters and billboards, they
will be in the trailer, etc.
People watch new films if they have big stars in as the star
carries a good reputation so just by seeing the actor,
people will automatically assume the movie will be good,
the audience also seem to confuse the on screen persona of
that actor with their real life personality so they believe
they are actually like their characters.
12. This is the cultural background of the star and how fans
relate to the background, Simon Bird, James Buckley,
Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas, (The Inbetweeners),
are young actors so people of a young age group,
(teenagers) will relate to that as they have the same
age/background.
Another actor may have had a hard up bringing or been
a ‘pot smoker’, some may have been outcasts, etc., so
fans relate to this and like the actor for their
background as well as their on screen persona, this can
also lead to fandom, (conventions, etc.)
