This document outlines a film idea called "Living the Future" that is described as a dark, horror version of Futurama. The film would follow a character frozen in 2015 who wakes up in 2075 to find the future is not as advanced as expected. He has some traumatic encounters but remains optimistic like the character Fry from Futurama. Our character eventually finds comfort and friendship when he meets a man just like himself, but they wonder if they are the only sane people left. The opening scene is set in 2015 and shows our character's depressed daily life before freezing himself to wake up in the future world.

2. Living the future is essentially a dark, horror version of Futurama put into a film.
The film will follow one character who has been frozen in the year 2015. He wakes up in the year 2075 to
realise that world wasn’t quite as cool and advanced as he thought it would be. We follow him as he has
some incredibly traumatic encounters however like ‘Fry’ from Futurama he often shrugs things off and has
some very near escapes. We are often left wondering how he’s still alive.
Our character finally re-establishes his faith in humanity when he stumbles across a man who is just like
him in appearance and character. These two then become the best of friends but are they the only sane
people left in the world.
The opening scene will be set in the year 2015. The camera will start by going from space right into his
location which will be in the bedroom, he’ll be sat on his bed doing nothing. We then see clips of what he
wants his life the be like, for example having a girlfriend, a car and a job. We follow his story of depression
in the opening scene for about 1.5 minutes before the last shot which will be his freezing himself.

3. Characters
This the kind of character that
I’m looking for to be the main
character of the film. We’ll follow
him through the film going on his
various adventures and his
friend will be just like him. They’ll
both gain comfort from each
other and this will also link to the
audience's feelings.

4. Location
I plan for my location to be
a mixture of these four
photos. i feel that giving t
an abandoned feel will
make it scary and then
giving it the futuristic side
will give in context and
setting.
